Publisher's Summary

After experiencing a humiliating breakup, 22-year-old Cassandra Clarke is fresh out of college and living a simple, solitary life without any intention of pursuing love anytime soon. When the estate next door sells, the last thing Cassandra expects is the unnerving attraction she feels for her sinfully handsome neighbor, Logan West, the young and charming single father with a playboy reputation. It's through Oliver, Logan's four-year-old son, who keeps popping up in her childhood tree house, that she slowly begins to catch glimpses of the compassionate and wounded man Logan has hidden beneath his strong exterior. Cassandra knows that she's heading for another heartbreak. Logan will never be able to give her what she wants: love.

What a great story! The character are so likable, the writing is fabulous and the story just dragged me in and still hasn't let me go! I listened to this in 1 sitting, if you have not listened to it....LISTEN TO IT NOW....GO....TRUST ME....GO....LISTEN TO IT NOW!

Xe Sands is great as always too!

Interesting cliffhanger and Ms. Sands fabulous...

Ms. Xe Sands could make reading a grocery list enthralling. I've yet to listen to any of her narrations that were less than excellent. As for the book and storyline itself, it was quite good. The main characters were likable and there's quite a bit of mystery surrounding both and their backgrounds, particularly Logan. Two things I didn't know: 1) There is a prequel that released after this book, "Indulge". 2) This is a cliffhanger. Story ends with no resolution to the characters lives and their relationship. You MUST continue on in the series.

Good story, but to much left incomplete.

The story was good, but to much was left incomplete.
The story ended without completing the romance.
It ended with to much unfinished.

Good story

This has been a good listen so far. I am enjoying the characters and the story line. I prefer a bit more mystery and so far it has been a little predictable at times. The narrator has been ok, on a couple of occasions she annoyed me a little. I am anxious to listen to book 2 to see how the story will progress.

Wonderful

I loved this book! Its about Cassandra whom is a small town school teacher, living out of town. Cassandra is a fantastic character! She's kind, sweet, thoughtful-and guess what!? Even though she is very attracted to our male lead, she has been putting his son and his feelings first! Mind blown! I was happy to have the female lead think more about more then just the male lead! And don't get me wrong! She does think about him, but her self control and expectations of what she wants in a man are the driving force! Also I would also like to mention that she's been a female lead that i can listen to! Without cringing! You all know what I'm talking about, the lead female that just makes mistake after mistake-and ruins your life (or book) with her choices.

Okay Logan! So honestly throughout the whole book I kept telling me self he doesn't deserve Cassandra, and! I still feel that way! Sure he's a great father and has basic morals-but I feel like the way he wanted to use Cassandra, and the way he uses all women was kinda messed up. Thankfully Cassandra held strong and didn't give into temptation. He was obviously attracted to Cassandra right away, but put her in the same category as he puts all women (until she shows him otherwise). So overall I feel like he has a lot of groveling to do in the next book (just saying) I don't care how handsome or rich you are! You NEED to grow up Logan!

Let's talk about Oliver! Let me just start by saying that is such a cute name! Okay onward! Oliver is a great character! He's kind of a breath of fresh air in the book. What would we do without Oliver!? He's what brings the book together, and every time there are chapters with him I always smile! Cause he's just too cute. (He needs Cassandra as his mom!)

Okay so Hilary and Kaleb are side characters and are friends of our leads. It's great to see how Kaleb is such a gentleman with Hilary (she's liked him for so long and he get get together yay!) also like how Kaleb is kinda like an older brother to Cassandra and Hilary is her ride or die BFF;) so yeah needless to say, I like them! Also I want to throw Mark or whatever the hell his name is in a cage with lions cause not only does he cheat, but he lies and he thinks he's in his own right! The cheating bastard!!! Oh I'll also throw Olivers mom in that cage too (sorry kid).

In to the next book! ;)

Really good!

I enjoyed this audiobook very much. It was entertaining and well narrated. The characters of Logan and Cassandra dancing about their obvious attraction, hindered by Logan's painful past and Cassandra's former betrayal by her long term boyfriend just made for great listening. I didn't realize this was a cliffhanger, so I just bought the next book.

I hate a book without an ending

However since I got sucked in, I started to purchase the second until I read the spoiler. Sorry, I read for enjoyment. Not to cause more stress. I'll not be reading other of Ms Graham's books if that's how she rewards her readers. It's a joy to get through a book, but a huge disappointment to find no happily ever after at the end of my efforts.

More Closure

This is my first Angela Graham Novel. I enjoyed her writing and where I realize this is part of a series I needed more closure. The book seemed to just abruptly end. As a reader and lover of these character I was left unfulfilled with this book.

It is Inevitable that I am giving up on this book!

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I am going to say no. I am 5 hours into this book. It is suppose to be in the Erotica category and the leads have yet to get together. When others said the story ended with no resolve I didn't think they meant no sexy time. This couple may get there in this story but I will never know.

Would you ever listen to anything by Angela Graham again?

No. The male lead in this story is a manwhore who is nonredeemable, to me at least. If, any of her other characters are like these ones then I would not enjoy her work. It just is not for me.

What does Xe Sands bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She is enjoyable to listen to but I can't think of anything.

Do you think Inevitable needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

It has follow ups but I won't be reading them.

Any additional comments?

If you are into books like 50 Shades, Crossfire, This Man, or the Blackstone Affair then you will be deeply disappointed in this story. I am all for characters building a relationship but
when you are 5 hours into a 9 hour story and the characters have yet to hook up and the male lead seems so nonredeemable it just leaves me not caring anymore.
