Publisher's summary

These kisses of his...they're demanding and possessive. They're hungry and deep. They're the kisses of a man who wants more of a woman - who wants everything - and isn't going to stop until he gets it.

Author Olivia Rossi hasn’t been able to write a word since tragedy struck two years ago and ripped her world apart. Heartbroken and still haunted by the past, she accepts an offer to spend the summer at a friend’s apartment in Paris in search of healing and her lost muse.

What she finds instead is James, an enigmatic stranger who ignites in her an unexpected and all-consuming passion. Agreeing to tell each other nothing more than their first names, Olivia and James embark on a torrid affair. But the more time they spend together, the more Olivia begins to realize her summer fling is turning into a powerful connection…and that the magnetic man she’s falling in love with might not be what he seems at all.

Author's note: This is not a "traditional" romance. There is a happily ever after, but not in the way you will expect it. Go in blind and enjoy the roller coaster, or move on to something fluffier. This novel has sharp teeth...and bites.

BUCKLE UP! What a WILD emotional ride!

I just finished *Perfect Strangers*…. and I am SHOOK! Completely shook.
It’s 3:30am. I couldn’t stop once I started earlier in the day.
To say that my audible gasp and shriek of “Nooooo!” didn’t almost wake up the whole house when Olivia looked at that calendar, I’d be lying. The cat on my lap scattered, for sure. My palm covered my mouth in shock for a couple minutes. My whole world I had been living in the last 8ish hours began to spin. (And I wrote this part of this review before I listened to the epilogue! Ironic.)
The uncontrollable tears didn’t start until she was with the doctor and recounted the summer. From there, I was a mess—alllllll the way until the end! What an emotional ride.
If you use a credit, be prepared for tears at the end. Real, HARD tears. (And I’m NOT a crier!) I advise you to go for it, but only if you’re emotionally stable (lol) and ready. This book takes a 180° in a snap of a finger! Then a 90° reversal of sorts in the epilogue—maybe almost a 180° reversal? It’s WILD!!!!!!!!
“Here’s to day drinking!” Cheers!

So much better the second time!

So apparently I was so confused and distraught the first time I listened, i never rated it, so after finishing it for a second time, which I highly recommend because it makes way more sense the second time, it just blows your mind. I mean, this is hands down my favorite book from J.T. I want to tell you some things, but seriously, it is seriously better to go in completely blind. The twists and turns this book takes will have your emotions all over the place and like me, I was deeply confused over the ending, but that’s why you should listen to it twice, but wait a few months so it’s not so fresh. The narrators are amazing and bring these amazing characters to life. If you’re reading this and not sure about purchasing, just do it, because you won’t know what hit you.

Desert Island Book

This book is unlike anything I’ve read. It will mess with your mind and make you want to throw your tablet/e-reader/phone against the wall a couple of times. The narration is perfection (Troy could read a phonebook and make it sound sexy). It’s best to go in blind and don’t read too much about the book. It is a contemporary romance, written by a remarkable author. That’s all you need to know. Enjoy the ride.

Olivia and James

This book was an unexpected surprise and was so good. As the author states, this is not a "traditional" romance. There is a happily ever after, but not in the way you will expect it. Wow, that was so true. It was unique and not what I am used to from Ms. Geissinger. The uniqueness of this book made it really interesting although I got confused a couple of times. I loved the ending where everything becomes clear. Things are definitely not what they seem. Troy Duran, Veronica Pace and Marnye Young did a great job with the narration. Troy Duran was absolutely awesome!

The last hour and a half is cringe

The author should have stopped while they were ahead. So many unnecessary twists thrown in at the end for the sake of making the story longer. Turned a far fetched, but enjoyable, story into something ridiculous and depressing.

Do yourself a favor and stop listening at the lavender fields.

Beautiful story. Beautiful narration.

“There is a field beyond all notions of right and wrong, I will meet you there.” -Rumi What can I say? Wonderful story by a favorite author. Can’t say enough about the performance of the narrators who are also favorites. Not an uncomplicated story, but beautiful, steamy, suspenseful, did I mention beautiful?

What the F happened in the last two hours

75% of the book was great then all of the sudden there was a random plot twist. It came out of nowhere and didn’t make any sense.

The characters reference Nicholas Sparks a lot and his book’s bittersweet endings. Not sure if that’s what the author was attempting to achieve but, in my opinion, it was a giant failure. The only thing the ending of this book accomplished was giving me whiplash. What happened to *real* James was a travesty.

Not my cup of tea

The first half was great to me, angst, a bit dark, etc., but I wouldn't consider this a romance. I loved where I thought the story was going but I'm into stories of hope and redemption. Had I known what the story was really about I wouldn't have purchased it but that's just me.
