Publisher's Summary

Reid Jackson

I’m a simple guy. There are only two things I love: my family and playing professional football.

I may not understand why people get married, but I’d go anywhere for my brother, even his friend Camille’s wedding. Once I’m there, I realize our Bronx upbringing has left me unprepared for the world of old Southern money. Over 24 hours, I see scandal, threats, and lies. It’s a life I don’t relate to, a place I never want to belong. Even so, when the minister asks if anyone objects, I shock not only myself but also the beautiful bride when I stand up and say, “I do.” I don’t know her, she doesn’t know me - but deep down, I knew I had to make that move.

Camille Whitley

As a political socialite in the South, nothing about my life is simple.

For years I’ve known I’d one day be standing at the altar, about to marry a man I don’t love. In Savannah, family expectations and appearances are everything, but none of it’s real. I hate what I’ve become, and I dream of being free. So, when an opportunity suddenly presents itself in the form of a stranger with captivating green eyes, I find myself asking what’s best for me: the plan or the unknown? I don’t know him, he doesn’t know me - but if I’m going to make a move, it’s now or never.

Amazing Story!

Wow this such an amazing story! Kathryn Andrews knocked it out of the park! She delivers with a multiple layer heartfelt story that is full of love, pain, scandal, redemption and everything else. I finished completely satisfied and happy and with as many books I listen to in a year that doesn’t happen as often as it used to. I absolutely love Reid and Camille, everything came so easy and comfortable for them and that’s when you know its real. You can feel the love and passion between them and it makes it so much better. Both characters are strong and mature in a way that makes it relatable true. The narration is perfect! I enjoyed every second! I agree with Sara’s review where she said she felt like she was watching a movie in her head because I felt the same!

Amazing book and narration!!

I’ve never read this author before... I find I say that a lot. I don’t know where I’ve been hiding from Kathryn Andrews but I can’t tell you I’ve found her now. I’m following! Chasing Clouds was such a deep and thorough romance. Reid is an amazing man. He’s loyal to a fault. He’s patient and kind. And when he loves it’s with all of himself. Camille hasn’t lived life for herself in years. She’s been beaten and broken down mentally. She’s a people-pleaser at heart and wants to make everyone happy.

I quickly fell for this story! Reid is a character that you’re gonna fall for no matter what. His sweet and caring side was so attractive. Even then, he held himself a bit closed off. I loved seeing the way him and Camille found themselves with each other. They really helped each other grow and explore. This is a really relatable story. I think we all strive to make our family and parents happy... but at what cost?

The narration by Callie Dalton and Stephen Dexter was amazing. I’m seriously, I felt like I was watching a movie in my mind!! I can’t even tell you how much emotion these two packed into their voices!! Loved ever word they said!
