Publisher's Summary

Sunshine. It's a nickname I haven't heard since I lived on Woodbury Lane, where the houses were pretty, but the secrets? Deadly. It was a pet name known only to the Bullets. Rough, violent, and ruthless, they laid claim to the town - and my heart.

I wasn't supposed to fall for a boy from the wrong side of the tracks‚ especially not four of them. But they were the only ones who understood that sometimes hell hides in plain sight. I was the girl with all the conveniences a privileged upbringing could provide. The world only saw two loving parents and a pristine home life, but I knew the truth. And it was going to get me killed. So I disappeared from everyone and everything I'd ever known. I changed my name and my appearance, but the scars I carry, they're still the same.

The Bullets are all grown up now, too - a crime boss, a pro fighter, a bounty hunter, and a federal agent. Life took them in different directions, but they once shared the bonds of a brotherhood forged under the harshest conditions. Together, they were fearless. Brutal. Unstoppable.

I'm praying they can find that unity again. If I'm going to survive this, it'll take everything they have. Because that's the thing about running from the past. It catches up with you eventually.

Amazing

I have waited to dive into this story for a while and I'm so glad I took the leap. Sunshine is a flawed MC with a unique story. I loved how we got a glimpse of past and present to give a better explanation of the world in this story. The Bullets are an amazing, but flawed group of anti heroes and I absolutely loved them. The only thing that made this story better was the excellent narrator who truly captured each characters voice. This was amazing and everyone should stop what they are doing and listen in

REALLY!

I can not believe after all that the main part of the story was jammed into the last 5 mins without any actual resolution!!!
I hope there is a book 2 to complete the story, and with a few less sex scenes. I like a good shag scene as much as anyone but I buy a book for the plot, the story not 1 sex scene after another.

Sunshine and bullets

Wow! What an awesome book! Could hardly put it down! The narration was perfect and really brought the characters to life as I pictured them. I’ll read lots more by this author and gladly listen to both the narrators.

Loved it

Holy crap this was so good! I loved the narrator and the story. The dynamic is awesome and the characters are all interesting. I sorta saw the twist coming but it wasn’t exactly what I had expected!

Love this story!

I read the book first and still got sucked in when listening to the audiobook. I thought that Jo Raylan did a great job but I did find that the male narrator was a little monotonous. I hope that the next book is also released on audiobook.

Loved the book!

Great story of “Sunshine” Summer Bright who runs away after witnessing something that instills fear in her, with disappearing as her only option. Five years later, she’s found by her 4 childhood friends that work to rebuild and evolve the relationships and help her deal with what made her leave. Loved the story! Had me guessing as to what was so bad that made her leave!!

Only wish there was a male POV splashed in there once in a great moon besides the prologue and epilogue. Though, I still loved it and would read it again and again.

Only thing, the female narrator take a little to get used to, as she’s very expressive and reads fairly slow, compared to myself and other narrators I’ve heard on other books. Though, once you get into the story, she gets better.

This is not a romance...

The female lead has sex with 4 friends in less than a week and (apparently they are all in love with her), yet they pass her around without a problem? The plot is only revealed in the last 5 minutes. It had potential but....
