Swoon to the max!!!

Oh man! Brandon Sterling and Skylar Crosby have got e VERY complicated relationship. He goes from just wanting sex to wanting it all! She learns about his past, and he learns more about hers than she had wanted him to learn. He really does sweep in like a knight in shining armor. There were most definitely some twists in the story. Some drama that I did not see coming. And of coarse there was a part that made me cry.... actually it was more like a couple parts that made me cry. The ending was a huge cliffhanger that I should have seen coming, but there was so much going on that it totally blind sided me! So now I am eager to get into the second book so I can see how this most recent drama plays out!!!

April 2023 Update for Audio Review:

I love Brandon and Skyler's story! The only thing I wish was that there was more from Brandon's POV (which is nonexistent in this book) but their story is so angsty and epic that I love them and could read and listen to it many times!!!

Love CJ Bloom... the heroin not so much

Skyler is annoying skipped the last two chapters. Hopefully the other books get better. she really needs to get it together.

Ends on a cliffhanger.Enjoyed their story and understood the characters. Brandon came from nothing, built an empire, and was socially awkward when it came to matters of the heart. He never told Skyler he was married and separated from his wife for three years. Absolutely loved Brandon very swoon worthy. He does go to her graduation and kiss her goodbye. Skyler’s character was hard to take, she didn’t communicate with the MMC, and she was much like her mom that way. Can’t wait for book #2.

He’s sooooo dreamy but she’s soooo dreary.

I love him. He’s absolutely amazing to her, offering her everything she could ever want, but good lord she wouldn’t stop making issues bigger than they needed to be. To me, she makes the relationship toxic.

This was the first book I’ve read by Nicole French, and I can’t wait for the second in the series. The series is a trilogy. The pull between Skylar and Brandon is palpable, and CJ Bloom brought it to life. I highly recommend!
