Fantastic!

WOW Life and hardship kindness and compassion. I am finding myself glued t o every book that Cathy Lamb writes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great character development

I wasn’t sure about this story after the reviews but I loved it. This story will take you through all of the emotions. Yes there are some violent parts but I believe these characters are real and this is not a story for people who are looking for something light and fluffy. I felt like I was involved in these characters lives. Those are the best kinds of stories in my opinion

Xe Sands knocked it out of the Park. A really good book! I will listen to more of Ms Lamb’s books!

Thus book made me laugh, it made me cry. It reminded me that we are all resilient and that there is hope in the world. Every family has their story, their dysfunction and love.

I loved this book. I loved the story, the reader, it kept my attention and I couldn’t put it down

laugh and cry

I laughed often, but I also found myself crying too. I really enjoyed this book. I’ll admit I almost switched books on opening paragraph, but I’m sure glad I didn’t. I also thought ending dragged on, but not enough to score it less than a five star story.

Cry, laugh, cry some more

Cathy Lamb has written an exemplary story. She captured all the emotions- fear, shame, joy, sorrow, love, bravery, gutsy, anger, and self-loathing.
The narration however is far beyond superb. While it is written primarily as Isabelle, Ms Sands nails all the characters. There’s no mistaking who’s talking or thinking.
And you can’t help but fall in love with Henry. By the midway point I wanted to be the 4th sister.
I didn’t want the story to end.
The characters are real. Flawed, troubled, and have incredible depth.
I loved the story and I didn’t want it to end.
Get it. Grab a box of tissues and a cup of coffee or tea and read it. You will enjoy the ride.

I started not to give this book a chance

I'm so glad I didn't listen to some of the reviews. I loved this book. I think you'd have to understand mental illness in order to get it. Mental illness is real and in reading this book I laughed and wanted to cry at so many characterizations because they resonated within me. Great book and author and I love Xe Sands.

Loved it

The storyline and narration are great. Just don’t listen to the last few chapters in public if you show your emotions. Though it’s nice to know my coworkers care. What great characters and interesting journeys.

Wonderful Story!

I always have an audiobook going & listen to several hundred a year. This book is by far one of the best I have read in a long time! The narrator is perfect for the story & the story it self is beautiful! A bit sad, but in a good way! It is worth the credit!
