Very easy to listen!

Very easy to listen, easy to understand and the practice are very good, you don't need discipline to do the exercises, only a few minutes (maximum 30 minutes, minimum 1 minute) pretty simple, your life are going to be the same, the same problems, the same worries, the same feelings, the difference is that you are going to be more aware of that, and that is all.

Highly recommend

If I could give this more stars I would. I suffer from chronic pain followed by anxiety and depression. This has been life changing for me. I highly recommend this for everyone.

Changed my way of seeing life

It changed my way of seeing life , by a different approach. It introduces you in the world of meditation and mindfulness in a way which you can follow easily without judging yourself. I highly recommend it. It's NOT a self- help book, it's a representation and educational book of a new way of living, and a different approach to difficulties.

Best audiobook

The best book on mindfulness that I have found so far. Only thing I did not like was even though we are told NOT to feel rushed or under pressure when it comes to following the eight week plan I still had a hard time. So if you can either stick to the plan without feeling rushed or better yet, just take it at your own speed, then this book should help you learn the practice of slowing down

Great book

Great book. Used it to gain perspective, find perspective in challenging situations, slow things down. If one does what the book advocates, it works. Well written, easy listen...but take your time!!

Very effective

Though I'm just getting started, the meditations and other exercises seem to be making me more aware of the moment and relaxed. Sleeping better, too. Understand, nothing dramatic yet, but I believe with just reasonable effort the Mindfulness program is going to be quite effective for me.

Straightforward and helpful

I am just getting into the required exercises, finding them straightforward and helpful. Like any program,success is dependent on the degree of input, commitment. The first four chapters, though somewhat repetitive, provide excellent reasons to continue into the suggested meditation exercises. Explanation is clear.

Incredible

Perfect

Such a great introduction to meditation. It explains why the mind works the way it does when we get stressed, anxious, or depressed. Everything that was explained made perfect sense because I was living it. It helped me to break the cycle of negative/stressful thoughts and it's helped me tremendously. The guided meditations are also so helpful because I have a hard time staying focused when meditating.

Very useful

The book is very useful and can help significantly if you are interested in mindfulness practice. It is a good adjunct to practicing meditation, as it points out helpful tips across various categories of mindfulness. However, some of it feels like filler and my feeling is that the book could have been much shorter. You definitely want to focus on actually doing the meditations, but you don't necessarily have to do the "official" ones for this book (that are available for download online), as you can find many analogous ones.

Amazing

The book does an amazing job at making each chapter new and shifting the focus as your experience grows. There is quite a good deal of repetition and yet it never felt stale. Each week granted new insights from similar practices simply by providing opportunities to perceive yourself and the practice of mindfulness in a new light. High quality listen and I plan on relistening many times for the nuggets of wisdom.

Very relaxing listen

I never really knew what meditation was all about, I just thought it meant sitting there quietly thinking of nothing. This book taught me it is so much more than that. I have found so much more peace in my life. The meditations are easy to do when you wake up and before you go to bed and they make you feel so relaxed. Real comfortable listen

Great book, lots of helpful tips, some basic but always good to do a refresher. I work in social services so self care is an absolute necessity for me. Excellent

This is not a quick listen... and it shouldn’t be.. there’s a lot to digest in this book. If you go through the steps it should take some time but well worth it.. buy this book if your brain goes to fast and you’re a worrier.

Very insightful approach

This is how to have a more insightful approach to life. I wish I had read this years ago. If you take the advice seriously and actually do the practices for the weeks, you will be surprised by what happens. I recommend this book highly. It is not religious in any way and is for any person of any walk of life or any beliefs.
