The Qur'an, believed by Muslims to be the word of God, was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad 1,400 years ago. Peace the Primary Divine Purpose

This is my third english version of the Qur’an and by far the most meaningful.
I have also read the Bible, done some theology and have some understanding of Hindu and Buddhist faith.
The Prophet brought an end to the internecine quarrels among the Arab tribes and the faith that He brought forth became the medium. Similarly Christianity could be credited with the Unification of Europe over a longer time frame.
However Peace is surely not the result in the later interactions of the major populations of the world to the present day. In fact faith seems a hinderance than a help in the Divine Purpose of Peace.
The primacy of Faith over Peace I believe is the cause of all strife in the world. The exact opposite what we believe the Prophets lived for.

Great Translation

I also have it in print and it’s one of my favorite english translation of the holy Quran. My only issue is with the narration - clear but a bit monotone.

Well spoken and presented

I am not a Muslim not will I ever be. However, the book is a great audio version on the Qu’ran. The presenter spoke well, very clear and pronounced. Possibly to many people’s surprise, there are a lot of the same stories and repetitive themes as in the Torah and Bible. However, this book lacks any form of comedy, is much more serious and certain verses have of course unfortunately been radicalized and used for bad. Overall, a good read and beyond learning it is possible for readers to grow closer to God through its words. Enjoy!

An audiobook version of the most recommendable translation of the Holy Qur’an. An absolute must for anyone wishing to learn and understand the Islamic faith.

Amazing!

Amazing modern translation. I love the intro to each chapter for context and the narrator’s voice is calming. Only suggestion I’d make: the table of contents should have both the Arabic and English names of each surah since many of us know surahs by their Arabic names. It will make it easier to find the translation in this book then. Thank you for this work!! Jazakallah.

a truly amazing translation

this translation is perfect for the non Arabic speaker. it really conveys the message in plain English that are in the verses.

Extremely good English transition

Definitely better than the translation by Abdullah Yousef Ali. The previous translation is beautiful to the ears, but the use of old English really made it difficult to understand. Compared to the Bible, it’s the difference of using the RSV over than King James Version. Beautifully translated with modern use of English. Valuable for Muslims and curious non-Muslims.

The narration is beautiful, it is translated well and the information about each surah is really helpful to understand what circumstances the ayah were revealed in.
