If you are looking for the information about Mindfulness, then this is a great resource for you. There are two books in one: beginners guide on how to shut off your brain and stay in the moment; and secrets to getting rid of stress and staying in the moment. In the first book, I found the information about the value of Mindfulness, creating the calm, peace in Pandemonium, the practical practice, maintaining Mindfulness. From the second guide, I learned a series of valuable and practical applications of Mindfulness to help me along my journey. I found this book very informative, interesting and practical. All information is laid out in logically and easy to understand. The author's recommendations and secrets are very effective and helpful. I liked this book and would recommend it for those who are looking to develop a mindfulness practice but who may not have any clue as to where to start.
This is a beautifully realized work extolling and describing the value, simplicity of mindfulness and being in the present moment Is where we reside but being present for it is the challenge and According to the author, "Mindfulness means paying attention [to the world] in a particular way: on purpose, in the present moment, and non judgmentally." That sentence seems a little obscure, and whenever I've attempted to explain mindfulness or meditation to friends and this book is an excellent introduction to mindfulness meditation for anyone, including skeptics, agnostics, and people who are wary of anything that seems remotely flaky and i became interested in learning more about the practice because of the well substantiated scientific evidence showing the real physical and mental benefits of the practice and Robert Norman is an inspired and brilliant author who makes a compelling case for the transforming power of mindfulness meditationand his practical advice and real life examples make the practice accessible to anyone and The author puts things in very simple and beautiful terms. I learned a lot and look forward to practicing what I have read and i bought the book because of a little interest in mediation, but while i have not succeeded in consistently mediating in my life, this book has still led me to be much more "mindful" than I ever was before and this is one of the nicest books I've read about anything.
