a great book, i definitely recommend it.

Mel sounds so sweet, I enjoyed listening to her. This is a really great book for learning how to love yourself and how to take care of your body, and improve your relationship with food.

LIFECHANGING!!!

Fantastic read/listen! I want to go back and listen to it again because I was resistant in the beginning but wow, by the end I totally get it and I am so excited to now live my life unbound by diets, food rules, and body obsession. Life changing!!

I honestly had no idea this book would change my life and my mindset. I thought I was just going to get some good tips for self-love and move on to my next personal development book.

Everything she said I could relate to. It helped me take a good look at myself and become aware of, and make changes that were necessary. I have struggled with weight and body imagine my whole entire life and I am forever changed after reading this book.

A must read

This book is so fab, I couldn't recommend it enough. Mel talks such sense and it's really refreshing listen. Anyone who had struggled with diets & hating themselves/body you must listen!

I cried through most of it

My mum had my sister and me on diets since I was 12 years old. With no cookies, cake. chocolate or bread in the house it was no wonder I started to binge on these as soon as I left home. As a single mum looking for love she was desperate to present her package with 2 perfect daughters so we went off to elocution lessons was dragged sailing and horse riding and kept on the latest fad diets. After reading this book I now feel empowered to forgive her and get on with my life. After listening to this book I feel liberated and more confident to take responsibility for my own body. After 40 years of slimming clubs and diets I am finally in control ... not them. I am taking a vow now to put myself at the centre and respond to how my body feels. Only I can do that. The book has given me a new energy, a new purpose and new mantras. I recommend it to any ladies trying to break free.

Finally Someme Speaks Sense

An awesome book for anyone who has felt insecure about their body, for anyone who has ever started and failed any diet and for anyone who wants to break free from the diet obsession, oppression, depression. Unnervingly accurate to my life...

Mel has a wonderful voice that fully expresses the passion in telling her story. Never before have felt as though an author is speaking directly to me; some of the behaviours she described were alarmingly accurate. A fantastic wake up call to the fact that we all need to be a bit kinder to ourselves. I will listen to this again on my bad days.

Amazing

What a refreshing approach. Mel is absolutely right and hating yourself thin will never work. Treat yourself better and your whole life will change. This isn’t an overnight trip and could take a while, but I’ve been implementing her instructions for a month or so now and things are definitely changing. I never want to hate myself, or starve or punish myself ever again.

this book made me question so much!

I've listened to this a couple of times now and I'm also a member of Mel's Academy which has been so beneficial to me.
As someone who's struggled with their weight and body image for pretty much all of their life, I've always been on diets. I'm so glad I found this book as it's opened my eyes to the fact that DIETS DONT WORK. This book is a self help book, yes, but it's not one of those full on ones that are really intense and talk about magic and manifestation and stuff. it's just straight forward logical sense, written in a way that really makes you think. It covers the general principle of intuitive eating and why food isn't the problem but the symptom.
I won't say the book in itself has changed my life, which is why I haven't given it 5 stars, (as I've read other reviews that say it's life changing...but IMO that's going a little far) but since reading it, then finding Mel and joining her academy, I've delved further into what's covered in this book and I'm making changes in my life. I've not yet completely sorted my issues with eating but this book was a good starting point for me. It's manageable, not too full on and not preachy. I'd recommend it to any woman who struggles with food, their body and dieting.

Life changing

Anyone who will listen I yell them about this book! I couldn’t read it fast enough, and will we rereading it for a long time. Mel really put things into perspective and has helped me mentally and emotionally, this book is a bible to happiness. Anyone who has tried dieting needs to read this
