Publisher's Summary

Should it be that you have mental conditions like anxiety, depression, panic, anger, or negative thoughts? And are you beginning to wonder what could be the best possible solution to treat these mental conditions, then you're on the right page!

If you happen to bring this up to your doctor, they are very likely to prescribe you a drug without even mentioning the most effective, scientifically validated treatment around - cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).

Developed through scientific research, all of CBT's components have been tested by researchers to determine its effects for the treatments of several mental conditions. Among these effects is the management of anxiety. It involves the use of well-tested, practical techniques for managing moods and modifying undesirable behaviors through self-awareness and critical analysis and take steps toward gradual, goal-oriented change.

CBT is a widely used method in different settings and populations with evidence that it works across cultural groups, but the approach may need to be adapted to fit individuals’ culture and environment. CBT assumes that people can explore how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are contributing to the presenting problem and that they can respond to consequences and reinforces.

CBT is a psychotherapeutic approach that can help to solve the aforementioned mental conditions without any need for medications. With CBT, you will be able to learn new skills on how to work on conditions such as anxiety, depression, panic, anger, negative thoughts, and other problems through a goal-oriented, systematic approach.

In Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, you will learn to reduce psychological distress and dysfunction by exploring and addressing how the integration of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are contributing to the presenting problem. You will discover the best way to help find the underlying cause of the problem by viewing it psychologically and then correct the thinking pattern that has led to wrong behavior.

And fortunately, while CBT therapist can assist, you can as well apply the CBT principles at home to manage whatsoever conditions you need it for and conquer your fears.

Inside Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, you will learn new skills to manage your symptoms. It will inform you of new ways to think and behave so that you can have control over your conditions in the long run. By using this special guide, you're trying to modify your unrealistic and distorted thinking. This, in turn, will help you make changes in behavior and re-adjust. Thinking patterns and emotions play a key role in human behavior and can be changed or modified.

So, do not hesitate to buy the audiobook now.

A must buy

The techniques contained in this book are very simple and anyone can apply them. However, in order to change your life, you have to take action. If you listen the book, but you don't apply the techniques, you'll continue having the same problems you have now. I only recommend this book to you, if you're going to take massive action and apply what you'll learn.

The book teaches you to challenge your thoughts and beliefs, and how to act on ways that are congruent with your new thought patterns. The book had plenty of beautiful examples to help guide the reader through difficult concepts. I noticed a couple of misspelled words, but they didn't disrupt the flow of the book. Overall I would give this book 5 out of 5 stars and recommend it to all.

Helpful

This book is short enough and straight forward, so I would recommend listening the book first and then relistening it and practice the exercises that it describes. One exercise I tried was I attempted to challenge my own core beliefs.

Great book

I find this book insightful. Not many people understand depression or other mental conditions. For people who suffer these conditions, it is hard to find ways to cope. I myself deal with anxiety and stress. I do not know how to manage my thoughts and feelings well. This book really helps for people like me who are seeking help. It is about time to have a book that truly understands and explains the importance of careful and mindful thinking.

Awesome resource

I would highly recommend this book to others looking to change their minds for the better-we cannot change our chemicals but we CAN learn to override the trouble they can cause to a point and this book really helps with that. I have children with these issue and I can see working with them to teach them these skills and help them get their own issues under control.

Great tool to aid while in CBT

I liked it. I have been going through CBT to deal with some anxiety and this gave me a greater understanding of why we do certain activities and exercises certain ways and it really has helped me get the most of my sessions.

live this book

As someone who studied Psychology and CBT in college, I came into this book thinking it would be a good refresher to what I had already learned. However, I was pleasantly confronted with new ways of thinking about my own mental health and with strategies that are holistic and easily applicable.

Excellent service

Looks good so far and lots of info. I tend to put books down that don't grab my interest right away but I will read this one.
