Perfection

The narrator was very good, nice voice, he read at a good pace. The message in the book was superb. How to deal with DBT and how the author knew something was wrong with him before even being diagnozed professionally. It also leads back to not sitting in a situation because everybody else is comfortable doing it.

Mental illness is for everyone whether you know it or understands it. I reccommend everyone reads this book, it might give insights on some unexplained feelings, thoughts, thing you might have been experiencing.

Powerful and Honest

The author shares expertise that can really, really help with PTSD and any stress related conditions. I'm a therapist myself and know that EMDR can have quick and yet profound positive affects and that's covered in here among many other methods. Learn here how to intervene and break up negative patterns caused by trauma. You do have to work at it and apply processes, but these ones are good and do work. Great audio, nicely paced, clear narration.

DBT Skills for PTSD

This DBT Workbook for PTSD offers hope to those who are struggling with PTSD or an event that continues to cause them pain in the present. When it comes to mental health issues, it can be hard to know that we need help, when to seek help, or how to ask for help. It's a big deal to even acknowledge that we have experienced trauma and as the author states, "Confronting trauma is nothing but an act of bravery."

This book explores and introduces utilizing DBT and its scientifically proven therapeutic strategies to address, relieve, and treat PTSD. The guide explains how DBT can help directly with PTSD symptoms and offers concrete tools with helpful anecdotes in how they apply to various cases.

The great thing about DBT is that it offers a variety of specific tools and techniques that work right away, which is crucial when dealing with PTSD triggers and symptoms. These tools help emotionally, mentally, and physically when dealing with dysregulation symptoms. I also really appreciated the worksheet PDF filled with DBT exercises that can be used whenever I need them. This can be a powerful guide for anyone looking for immediate and lasting tools to live a happy and free life.
