Practical and helpful

The reason I listened to this was because I have been feeling like I react at times with too much stress and sometimes anger. This book gives you a whole explanation about why we react badly and even what types of anger we experience and why. I personally think the most valuable part is about intervening before the anger kicks in.

Insightful

Interactive to the point. Good narration. Great contents and example. The last chapter was my favourite. Basically giving ways to control anger, like not being "Hangry", this one requires you feed your body the nutrients it requires, getting enough sleep. I love that the tips have tips too.

Great book

I've never suffered from anger management issues myself, however i was brought up in a home where my dad suffered from what i now believe was anger management. This book really allowed me a deeper understanding of identifying the warning signs and preventing history from repeating itsellf in my life. Truly happy my coworker recommended this book to me.

Very helpful in managing anger.

As anger is an emotion all of us experience, this audiobook is helpful in identifying whether the emotion we’re going through is something that we have to improve so that we can live a more positive life. I like how this is built on the author’s experience and provides examples and accompanying pdf worksheets where one can apply the strategies and techniques to help overcome and manage anger. Recommended to those seeking to improve themselves or really wanting to handle anger better.

Practical guide for how to manage your anger

This book caught my eye as a possible resource for my 18-year-old son who comes from a traumatic background and struggles with anger issues. He also has severe ADHD and I knew I would be unable to get him to sit and simply read a book so I downloaded the audible in hopes that this would be a format he could digest better. He was recovering from surgery and I suggested he use the time to give it a listen. He was a little overwhelmed by the 85-page workbook that I'd printed for him to go through as he listened but he was a good sport and had nothing else to do ;-). I listened to the first part with him and the author does a great job at telling his own story and how he's struggled with anger, coming to a place where he realized it was an issue and would hold him back in life, and then searching for the method to create better coping skills with his anger. The narrative flowed well and the workbook gave very practical exercises for the listener to work through. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to get control of their anger rather than their anger controlling them!
