She was close enough to see that the girl had written a word on the wall in bright, warm red blood. Not a word, actually. A name...

Everyone in the small town of Denton is searching for Isabelle Coleman, a missing 17-year-old girl. All they've found so far is her phone and another girl they didn't even know was missing.

Mute and completely unresponsive to the world around her, it's clear this mysterious girl has been damaged beyond repair. All Detective Josie Quinn can get from her is a name: Ramona.

Currently suspended from the force for misconduct, Josie takes matters into her own hands as the name leads her to evidence linking the two girls. She knows the race is on to find Isabelle alive, and she fears there may be others....

The trail leads Josie to another victim, a girl who escaped but whose case was labelled a hoax by authorities. To catch this monster, Josie must confront her own nightmares and follow her instinct to the darkest of places. But can she make it out alive?

Fans of Angela Marsons, Helen Fields, and Robert Dugoni will be utterly gripped and listening long into the night once they discover the first in this unputdownable new crime thriller series.

The story was good but the narrator made it so dull. Need to find a narrator with emotion

Narrator was lifeless

I didn’t like the narrator. That was a tough jump to get over, it all in all: It was entertaining

It take time getting used to

What a fantastic story BUT the narration is horrible! I love Lisa Regan but OMG!!!! WHY THIS NARRATOR? AND....I see that she narrates the next two releases. That is sickening to say the least. When I first started this book, I was looking forward to the start of a great series. I got through the first 3 chapters and put it down for a couple of days. When I went back to it, I struggled to continue but I did! This poor narrator doesn't know how to pronounce simple words. She makes the characters seem ignorant.

The story is truly great and it's a total shame to kill it with a bad, bad narrator. I didn't read the reviews until after I finished but I'm glad it's not just me. I'm going to suffer through the next two releases only because I see that the 4th book has a new narrator! THANK GOD!!!

Lisa, please consider Teri Schnaubelt or Therese Plummer in the future. Your narrator represents YOU!!!

WOW!!!! NARRATION CLOSE TO RUINATION!!!!!!

The pronunciation of simple words like taco others were super annoying. Decided to finish the book because the story was good. Surprised this was not corrected early in the audio production of the book. I see the next two are read by the same person. Not sure if I will continue with the series. Taco? Really?

The narration almost ruined it

The story line was interesting , but the narrator distracted from the story, instead of sounding like a seasoned detective, she sounded like a high school girl reading something she considered to be boring.

Better narrator please.

Narrator is obvious British and attempting an American accent. Her pronunciations are very distracting and annoying..
anathing instead of anything
et instead of ate
many more.
the most annoying thing was the lack of ennunciation of double consonants.
Dennon instead of Denton.
mounnain instead of mountain
inno instead of into
the story line was fortunately good enough to keep me listening.

narrator is horrible

I wish I could say it was a wonderful book, but I couldn't tell you what it was about due to the very distracting narration. I'm 13 chapters in, but I've picked up none of the storyline. I hate to say it, but this narrator either needs to go through many hours of training and intensive practice, or find a new job. I'm going to have to get the Kindle version if I want to read this book, because this was a tragic waste of an Audible credit.

I couldn't finish the audiobook!
