Publisher's Summary

FBI analyst Kassidy Bishop is assigned to the "'For You' Killer" task force after a series of sadistic murders bearing the same signature arise in different parts of the country. The homicides are both calculated and savage, occurring in different states, but bearing the same signature: the words "for you" scribbled at each crime scene.

The case chills Kassidy, bringing back memories of her own encounter with a violent criminal five years earlier. Kassidy's mentor, legendary agent Talia "The Confessor" Crossen knows the task force assignment is Kassidy's chance to prove to her colleagues that she belongs in the Behavior Analysis Unit. For five years, other FBI agents and profilers scoffed at Kassidy's appointment to the BAU, believing she was only offered the position in exchange for her silence about the brutal assault that almost killed her.

The stakes rise when the task force links the killer's signature to Kassidy. As more and more bodies turn up, Kassidy must delve into her past and the mysterious death of her twin sister, which holds the key to uncovering the killer's identity. The closer Kassidy comes to finding the killer, the closer she comes to a deadly confrontation that could cost her everything - including her own life.

Really Liked Book And Narratoe

I enjoyed this book. It was different. It had twists and turns and held my attention. I thought the narrator was excellent. Her tone was on the soft spoken side and expressed each character differently. It was really nice. I hope to hear a lot more from her.

Don’t waste your credit

Dull, predictable and listening to that narrator was painful. Don’t waste your credit or your time.

Pleasantly Surprised

This book was well written with great characters that were pulled out of the book and into my minds movie screen with great ease by Laura Jennings. I was pleasantly surprised and truly enjoyed this book.

Too melodramatic
And that breathy whispery voice drove me crazy

Is the narrator scared?

I may very well have enjoyed this book but after chapter 2 began I fast forwarded to chapter 8 just to see if the narrator was still whispering. Unfortunately she was. There was no way I could listen to a full book with this narrator. What a shame to ruin a potentially good book by allowing a bad narrator to try to bring it to life. I'll never know if this was a good read because I can't handle the narrator.

Never realized...

...how much the narrator can make or break a story. I came "this close" to calling Audible and returning the book because of the narration. The narrator has such a soft voice that lacked the power and suspense needed to carry this book; she should narrate romance novels. I might have rated the book itself (story, overall) higher but could not get past this narrator softly telling about brutal crime scenes and other horrific situations. I will say I did listen to the end, the story was captivating enough to want to know how it ended. The other thing is the story was a couple of chapters too long BUT the author did add some twists, tied everything up in an enjoyable manner...and maybe it seemed too long because I was suffering through the narrator.

Whispering

I really enjoyed this book very much, the plot and the characters was very well thought out. The narrative was pretty good except the narrator kept whispering! This meant that for most dialogue sections the voices were difficult to distinguish.
