hell of a surprise

this was a hell of a surprise for me. I have never read or listened to anything by this author before. the writing was phenomenal the storytelling on point. I'm very familiar with the narrator for this trilogy and I've never seen him do less than amazing performance. the story centers around a gentleman who is helping to support his mother and sister by playing the hottest games and streaming about it online. in the first book there appear to be no father in the picture but in the second book we find out that the father is serving in the Navy. a new game comes out where a person is fully emerged using this high-tech pod and our main character scores premium access. there's a serious surprise at the end of book 1 that got me super excited for book two. there's a bit of a cliffhanger at the end of book two, but since this is a box set your fortunately do not have to wait for book 3. this is a really good deal and an easy recommend for me to anybody reading this review. I like any story that I'm reading or listening to for fun to have an element of romance. it doesn't have to be the main focus of the story but I do like to see it there and this book has that. lastly I'm just going to say Well done and a round of applause to everybody who had a hand in bringing this story to us, the audible listeners.

Awesome series

Sosaku Online has become one of my favorite VR based Litrpgs. the Egyptian setting is very refreshing when most of the VR settings are based on some variation of medieval Europe. the MC makes reasonable choices and isn't over powered. I would recommend this series to just about anyone.

Overall: not bad. Language is very coarse to vulgar at times.

If there had been a warning about f-bombs, I would have passed by this title. The story is a typical one, nothing new other than the consequences that lead up to constant immersion. The wing usage of murder hobo was annoying the first time, and was ignorable the following times it was used. The general writing is decently done, pulling one into the immersive state deep enough that annoyance in character behaviors manifested, which is in part why the language is annoying to deal with. It felt like playing alongside a 13 year old teen in a game of old school call of duty whose twitch reflexes are still being hired and have no problems spawn camping just to get rank. Juvenile behavior aside, the story was enhanced by the narration by one of the best voices and readers on audible and made it worth a full listen.

Like a 3-in-1 shower gel.

It the first 3 altogether in one book.

Great series. And the author says that he's going to write more. Love it!
Classic LitRPG. Guy goes into a VR gaming world and the developers aren't letting any info out. And, of course, things don't go right. If they did, what would we have as a story?
Author and narrator do a great job.
I got this omnibus for free with the expectation of an honest review and honestly, I love it.
5 BIG stars.

Not bad but

First book: It’s not a terrible start to the series but the MC just screams out white knight virgin vibes! He can be annoying in a kiss up kinda way, he is smart but the levels of cringe that come out is high at times. Oh and the Reader is pretty good but in one of the moments when he supposedly threatening someone it sounded like he was trying to seduce the person instead.

great addition to the genre

This book falls along the LITRPG sub genre of a player playing an immersive MMO for entertainment vs the MC is forced into an online or RPG system against thier will or consent genre. Think acsend online or Rippleverse. Very refreshing to get a litRPG where the MC isn't an OP demigod or have a massive unfair advantage. Another plus is the time taken to show the world and his life outside the game. Narration is ok and gets a lot better after book 1. Will definitely be spending a credit on the next installment. I did not get this book for free and am not a paid endorsement.
