First thee pretty good, 4th was a slog

the first three books were pretty good, the last one had some pacing issues and felt like they were trying to fit a 5th book inside of it.

The main character is the only actual player in the game, everyone else is an NPC waiting for the MC to move the story forward or save them. Until the 4th book he has only met maybe 5 players, but in the 4th book they are all helping to fight the big bad, only they are no better than the NPCs and need the main character to move the story forward and save them.

The main character also overshadows his Team, they exist for a love interest and so that he is not talking to himself the entire time.

I loved it. Being new to the lit rpg genre, it filled me with everything that I love about gaming and the future hopes for it. I found the MC a bit asshole-ish at times, bit realized that if I were in the same spot and scenario,I too would be the same. It is after all... a game. I loved it and hope there will be more added to this series. I would love to see the continuation of Dexter Jonathan Walsh and his Cadre of peeps continue to smash face. Thank you for the amazing listen. It makes my mail route just a bit tolerable.

I enjoyed the overall story the MC progresses in spurts and he does not become some overpowered MC that just rolls through everything

There was some good romance with out going over the top.

The only complaint I have at the moment is the fact that the story is left hanging i am looking forward to the author continuing this series

Real life wv prepper noticed mistakes.

First big mistake that I noticed was that the author figured that pace makers malfunctions would automatically make their users die. He mentioned the immediate death of people due to inop pacemakers. Pacemaker malfunction doesn’t kill you it. Second thing was that they didn’t take the horses of the inmates dressed as police…. Anyway the list continued with incorrect assumptive statements….. antibiotics don’t go bad by their date. They fall off in Potency pills more stable than liquid etc. It just got irritating and when they decided to go to South America when they were

People if you want prepping advice you can get
Some hints from this book but don’t use it as a full guide.

And PLEASE tell me that fourth year old men have more self control than this guy does.

This book will keep you awake on a drive but really… the record Davies County snowfall is 17” over 3 days. Not four feet. I think that he just made up stuff from book to book and forgot his
Plots from the last books. Wolves would be a problem as some States have tried to repopulate them. However WV had to kill them again after putting them in… Too vicious. A pack of twenty five and another Pack of sixteen one county away and South of the Ohio River Wouldn’t happen.

here's the thing the mc is just human garbage. He believes the world revolves around him and can do no wrong. Whenever someone in the group has an actual good idea he looks down on them like they're children trying to help an adult with a puzzle. Not only do the MC not trust the team he expects them too have complete faith in him while he treats them like servants. Honestly this series would have been much better if the MC did a solo play.

All the characters are narcissistic assholes

I did my best, but I couldn’t finish the book I really tried. I don’t mind the cussing so much, but the sexiest remarks with the conversations to throw me off.

Was interesting and intense, seamed the bad guys/ ai cheated a lot against the characters.

Young adult or kids book that just can't be.

Foul language makes this just to bad because the whole story is on a youngsters level. If you like a MC who takes over a group of fellow gamers and laughs off his mistakes while using another's to make him look better then hers your guy. If you like someone who talks like he and all his gamers or just everyone talking like they are in a chat room. Example hehe, haha, laugh out loud, away from keyboard, etc. then this is your book. The story though simple is enjoyable except the characters become almost weird from stereo typical simplicity. I was going to return the book a couple times but stuck it because I had read the reviews and I knew better. By the way some of yall are either just weird, dishonest or paid off to write some of the glowing reviews that were given. I'm thinking probably weird. Oh and some of the ways that the MC treats women and elders because it's a game rubs me wrong also. There is no way that people would group with him. Just an unreal dream of the author I guess. I mean holding your girl friend tightly to basically shut her up. I mean you really wrote that. I can't really recommend this to kids because the MC treats others so horribly. If my son was playing a game and mistreating others he would find his computer or console gone. Just my two cents.

Great Story and Performance/CONTINUOUS PROFANITY

I enjoyed the story, characters, and performance in this series, but the profanity was offensive and distracting enough that I couldn’t finish it. There are instances in a story where it builds the feel, but I think in this case it detracted. I hate listening to something that I can’t share with the people around me and this is just not appropriate for most audiences.
If profanity doesn’t bother you then it might be for you.
