Publisher's summary

The apocalypse is coming, but only a lucky—or perhaps unlucky—few know.

Silas is inducted into the System, becoming the last in a long line of Earth's "forerunners." The rewards are great, but the danger is greater. We are not alone in the universe. The fate of five worlds hangs on how their forerunners perform.

Will Silas have what it takes to win Earth a place in the multiverse? Or will Earth become another mining world stripped of all resources and left a barren husk floating in the cosmos?

A system-enforced secret, a deadly challenge, and only a year to go. The countdown begins now!

Funny, dorky, witty and an epic adventure!

Long time listener first time reviewer... what can I say other than this was such a fun LitRPG to listen to. It was captivating, fun and exciting. There are dorky moments, funny ones and then action packed! To top it off, you got Travis on this who just adds that much more pow to the already stellar universe....no no.... multiverse!

Looking forward to book 2 and beyond!

Great concept

I like how it's a different approach than just shoving the world and main character into integration.

The balance of fantasy and humanization

It does a great job of tying everything together and I can’t wait to get more of these!

Great book

The narrator did an excellent job with the story and portraying the characters. The writing was excellent and the story is easy to follow and very engaging.

Well crafted story

I liked the narrator and the story. The A-Team spoke to my childhood so of course I laughed hard after hearing that bit. I also enjoyed the moral compass of the main character. Well done!

solid intro to this genre

simple and enjoyable. The main character has a heart and brains. The only issue I had was it seemed like a lacking system and the family dynamics where muted. The whole system changing who you are stick didn't make it interesting.

Lack of progression

Though the book was phenomenal and the vocabulary on the descriptions was great it felt like the progression of the character was jumped quite often. Though I’m one who listens to a lot of LITrpgs and can get sick of the MC being stuck at slow levels it felt like some of the more intensive fights within the book felt a lot like they were just glossed over or sunmaried. Other than that book has been great so far and I look forward to listenting to more as always Travis baldrey is the goat when it comes to narration.
