Highly, highly recommend!

This book describes and helps you understand the sociological and psychological reason behind much of what is embedded in our culture in terms of masculinity and feminism.

I am a 22 year old male, in shape, single, and on a successful path in life, therefore I thought I was a prize to women but for some reason, the most of the women I was trying to get with "didn't see it" or I was (in my head) "too mature for they're linear cognitive functioning for our age". There are a few things I was completely missing. Half way through the book I felt my actions changing, mindset changing, and sure enough I have had positive results (I'll save the dirty details). I believe the main reason was that this book gave me the edge of confidence and slight change in mindset that I needed to make it work better for me.

I lacked the understanding of how women worked psychologically, and based my "game" off of the wrong concepts to appeal to women. I already had most of the characteristics necessary to appeal to women, however this book allowed me to do some necessary fine tuning to my 'game'. This book will make you look back and realize where you went wrong in past relations, and why women make the decisions they do, and take the actions they do; even if it seems it makes no since on a functional level.

Good shit

A little too conspiratorial but he makes good points. I think he tries to make sense of many unconscious behaviors displayed. by women but at the same time can be argued in multiple ways

Every man MUST read this book, several times over.

What did you love best about The Rational Male?

It helped me realize, why as a man I have suffered so much in my life. It was nothing I was doing, I was following all the advice women gave, all the ideas you see in movies, music, I thought women wanted a man who was caring and affectionate, this book helped me realize.. That all my suffering was due from the identification with feminist ideals. The line:A Man's love is unconditional and loves simply for love, a woman's love on the other hand is opportunistic, there's a condition to receiving it. Cut me like a knife....

What did you like best about this story?

The analogy with the matrix, first made me laugh and then question the validity of this book. But as Rollo continues explaining throughout the book and referencing the similarities, that laughter soon turned into a complex set of a emotions that I cannot describe, you realize.. It's true.. We men have been made victims and no one will believe you because, they're part of the system, and just like the matrix, they will fight to preserve it..

What did you learn from The Rational Male that you would use in your daily life?

Once you know this truth.... You cannot go back. You cannot look at women the same and you realize, just how fucked up it is that your needs as a man, were never important to the world, yet your accomplishments is what everyone will relish in..

Any additional comments?

Thank you for this insight..... Thank you for unplugging me from this matrix..

Clear display of much needed concepts

This makes it easier to understand the much needed concepts of dating and behaviors needed to maintain a positive attitude towards relationships and avoiding the pitfalls that lead to depression because of entering relationships without the necessary skills needed for overall health including mentally.

Essential to understand love and women

I'd recommend the written version since the narrator doesn't do the book justice, but every male should buy both.

Masculinity in a Feminized World

With wonderful narration by Sam Botta, Rollo Tomassi discusses inter-gender dynamics from a masculine perspective in the modern world. If you've ever wanted to try and wrap your head around the intricacies of behavior psychology between men and women, this book provides a sufficient introductory text.

Life changing work on Relationships

What did you like most about The Rational Male?

The Idea of the red pill and blue pill.
Realising why past relationships failed.
How in depth the books goes and the links to psychology.

What other book might you compare The Rational Male to, and why?

The Game by Neil Strauss which was also a book that opened my eyes.

Have you listened to any of Sam Botta’s other performances? How does this one compare?

There are slight errors with audio where a take wasn't edited out, nothing that ruins it fortunately. The narration is great.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

The Rational Male

Required Reading for All Males

This should be a standard and basic text for all males who are conscious, aware and awoke to the modern day gender dynamics. I have friends coming up to me asking why I'm so good with women. I refer them to this text as a starting point. A pleasure to listen to in audiobook format. Share with your dad, son, best man and become the fully realised and actualised men you were intended to be.

How to become an Irrational Misogynist

After reading 'Models - Attract Women Through Honesty' (an amazing life changing read that I would recommend to anyone), I picked this book up hoping it would be a book on emotional intelligence - how to build mutually beneficial, life enhancing relationships with women.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Instead this book dehumanises women telling you that you should manipulate them to enjoy YOUR agenda (i.e. be the 'alpha male' who gets to have hot sex with as many women as possible and let some other chump (a beta male) help her raise any undesirable children that may result). Otherwise if you try to be nice, fair and honest she will have sex with some other 'alpha male' behind your back and will dupe you into taking on the parental responibilities of the resulting b#stard child. Quote: 'Never get involved with a single mother - she has already proved her unworthyness'

The only thing this book is good for is to give you a metaphorical taste of taste of sh*t that this book is so that you can fully appreciate the taste of honey that is 'Models' by Mark Manson.

Say “yes” now to speak to sales.

I really can’t get on with this book, it isn’t the author it’s the narrator. He sounds like an a computer generated voice with no emotion, monotone, delivered all at the same speed. It makes this book really hard to listen to. This was my first book on audible and I hope there not all like this

pseudo science indoctrination

so, where to begin with this one. some of the information and insight is quite good and thought provoking, but the author tries much too hard to sound qualified when he only minored in psychology. and it shows. he basically comes up with concepts and labels everyone as either alpha or a.. beta. he doesn't even provide any evidence for his claims. I'm writing on my phone so excuse the grammar. anyway, the narrator's drawling voice along with the sociopathic content makes this a really cringeworthy listen at parts, and that's coming from someone who agrees with a lot of the core material, just not the patronising attitude of the author..

Amazing book for men !

I wish i had this book 10-20 years ago, boy... I was really clueless. While being into learning more about interacting with females fot the past years, this book is a great way to understand why "bad boys" are a magnet for girls , the concept of abundance, the dynamics of relationships etc. Thank you Rollo !

Listened to this entire book overnight - riveting

Must read prior to marriage and dating women. Completely demystifies why many women cheat with bad alpha types and marry nice guys or use them shamelessly as placeholders and why many women have no remorse in dumping a nice guy who invested all his time and recources thinking authentic sex and affection can be bargained for with a woman. Why women can become completely unreasonable/heartless and how the governments and courts have become completely gynocentric and support injustice towarda men

Don't buy this if you're not open minded.

First off, there are some good points in here. I wouldn't call them facts, but for the sake of gender based debates they provide interesting arguments and I'd agree with a lot of the points to a degree.

However based on the language and concepts, I'd say the book/this guy's whole deal takes advantage of the "betas". The whole philosophy of it seems to mainly apply to guys who have trouble with girls/relationships and it picks on their insecurities - providing the "solution". Afterall, that would be the majority market for this kind of stuff.

Nothing wrong with that, but I just think the target audience is a vulnerable one. Guys buy into the whole - "I have to be an alpha shit" pretty easily without even considering that behaviour is exactly the opposite of how an "alpha" should act.

Overall there's many flaws in the arguments and it makes a bit of a joke of science at some points and you probably won't be too impressed with the author. BUT equally it's worth a read for men and women regardless of political views and relationships - assuming you aren't quick to join or oppose the opinions.

It's all so obvious now...

Couldn't stop listening, light bulbs illuminating throughout the entire book...

I've studied "game" since "the game" came out but it has never totally clicked until after this book, I have one divorce under my belt and I'm glad I had a clean break with no attachment. I don't wish I'd gotten this book prior to my marriage but I'm glad I got out of it at 30 where I am finally mature enough to see the world for what it is. Every guy over 15 should have this book and never stop reading/listening to it as the world has a way of comforting you with lies.
