Excellent beginner Meditation

What did you like best about this story?

This audiobook was completely different than what I expected; it is set as a guided meditation. It jumps right into instructions on how to prepare yourself to meditate and then it guides you into mediation. The narrator’s voice is soothing and you are instantly in mediation mode!

Any additional comments?

This is not a how-to guide, rather this is guided meditation. This is very similar to an in-person mediation study at a yoga studio. I highly suggest this audiobook to anyone who has previously mediated, but wants to have a guide carry you through the process.

A calming experience

I found the narrators voice to be very calming and soothing. As I was guided through the meditation process, I could feel myself relaxing. A great 30 minute listen!

Uplifting

This is a good quality guided mediation for a reasonable price. I have meditated all my life, but never tried a guided mediation before. I recently obtained not only this title, but also another one by the same company that is intended for relaxation and sleep. They were both well done, but this one is more uplifting, while the sleep version is tailored for relaxation.

I personally prefer the sleep mediation, but that is only because I suffer from insomnia and it suits my personality and needs better at the moment. If you enjoy a happier, more ethereal mediation experience, you will probably like this one.

Not the best

I was gifted this audio-book with the understanding that I would leave an honest review. The narrator "Mindfulness Training" they do not give a persons name. Anyway she has a wonderful voice for mediation. I was thinking from the title that this was going to help with Positive Thinking and Self Healing. They address negative thoughts a little but that is all. Guided Meditation is a very individual thing and someone else will listen to this and find it very helpful but that was not true for me and this is MY honest review. That said it is only $3.95 on audible and for that price it is worth a try for you.

Feeling peaceful 😊

Wonderfully narrated guided journey to a positive attitude. For those like me trying to attract positivity, it starts with the attitude you project. I am always trying to maintain my positive attitude in a world that makes it a difficult task. I love the fact that I can skip the coffee and listen to this book for a quick energizing pick up instead. Now I'm able to tackle my work load with a better attitude. And that makes life easier for me and the coworkers who have to be around me all day. I requested this book in exchange for my honest review because I want a stress free life. This book is helping me achieve that goal.

Great read

Guided Meditatio: 30 Minute Guided Meditation for Stopping Procrastination, Increasing Focus & Ending Distractions by Mindfulness Training was a great read. It was a great assistance when trying to meditate.

My husband uses this book to fall asleep at night!

Where does Guided Meditation rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It's quite good. I have used several of Mindfulness Meditation's books and they're all incredibly relaxing...they strike that perfect balance of a bit of peaceful music, a soothing voice, and calming words. They're amazing for people who are having trouble falling asleep.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Guided Meditation?

Without a doubt the narrator....the voice is smooth and soothing.

What about Mindfulness Training’s performance did you like?

As noted, Mindfulness Training uses top notch narration. I think reading this book on one's own would be a completely different experience. The narration is what really helps this book stand out.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No laughing or crying but it often helps me fall asleep at night.

Mindfulness Training books come at a very fair price as compared to competitors and as such these books are an excellent value if you're looking for something new in the guided meditation genre.

Another soothing experience

This is the 6th audiobook I've heard by this publisher. They're all very much the same. That's not a bad thing but it does make them difficult to review individually. As such, my reviews of them tend to also follow the same format.

In each, the narrator is calm, nurturing, and non-judgmental. The books get you into a certain mental and emotional space and revolve around a theme.

This book's theme is positivity for self betterment. As far as these books go, this one is the distillment of their themes of mindful empowerment. Although there's nothing particularly insightful, you do feel calmer and more ready to face the world. Which I suppose is really the point.

Wonderful 30 min Relaxation

This was a great 30 minute relaxation. The narrators voice was very calm and deepened by ability to truly meditate along their instructions. I was skeptical that a guided meditation would be counter productive but truly enjoyed the quick session it offered. Highly recommend for the busy professional, as I listened to it over a few lunch breaks.
