Publisher's summary

Jaggar is a half-wolf, half-mountain lion shifter, but his halves don't make a whole. Instead, they form the beast, a misshapen killing machine that terrifies even the hard-charging wolf shifters of the KSRT, especially after the mauling.

"Jaggar has tragic down," his friend says about him, which must be why his one true mate, Leilani, is also steeped in tragedy. She's a time-traveler. In fact, our boys in Serenity owe their very future to her. But what she has done for them has robbed her of her sight and her sanity.

When Jaggar and Leilani meet in the forest, her eyes flashing silver, his beast in complete control, it seems only a miracle can keep them together.

Fantastic Story!

Ok, it's official. This is my favorite of the series so far. I just love a tortured soul that gets redemption and... boy, does Jaggar fit that description. I love how the author took both characters on a journey of discovery... discovery about themselves and each other... discovery of who they were with each other. These two characters have had traumatic and heartbreaking lives. They have lived through some truly terrible pasts. Together they had to learn how to not only survive but to thrive. I also really like how the author wraps their story up in the end. There were a few moments when I just wanted to throttle my Ipad, but there were also a few moments when I couldn't stop laughing. I was getting worried about Trent, but luckily the author addressed that at the end of the story. I'm so enthralled by this series and I can't wait to read more. Off to see if the next book, Trent's story, has been released yet.

Jagger can be my beast any day

Loved this book from an amazing series. Just keeps getting better and more involved. Always leaving me keening for more.

Micheal Pauley is becoming a master at doing these characters in this series and I can’t wait for the next book.

Glad we got to know more of the side characters

Drumming my fingers 🤔

I have mixed feelings when it comes to this story. In previous books Jaeger was the one that I was most intrested in learning more about. The bits and pieces of his past that we got him previous books made me want to know what happened to him and why he is called 'The Beast'. In this book we get to learn a good deal about Jaeger. We got to see glimpses of a his birth, childhood, and his young adult life.

As we delve deeper within the story we start to learn more about the different relationships there are happening within this community. So far we've known about the One True Mates but we don't really know about all of the side characters. That is when the thing I really enjoyed about this story is exploring the different characters that are part of the team and not only the two main characters. The way it was written was not overwhelming at all. There could be times where an author introduces a lot of different points of view and the story line becomes muddled. This did not happened within this book.

We were first introduced to Leilani in Shifter's Paradox we learned little to nothing about her. In my review of that story I had a couple issues with the way Evie was handling that only her situation but Leilani's as well. I was very hesitant to read this story because of that issue. I am glad that I did read this story and I think that it helped that I took a couple months off in order to get my head together.

I loved the connection that Jaeger had with Leilani. The both of them were broken and when they got together they help to one another heal. The time traveling stuff was a bit confusing but in the previous book we were introduced to that so I was not surprised.

Btw: I am obsessed with Michael Pauley. 😍😛

Rowrally Fantastic!!

This is by far one of best in this series.
Leilani and Jaggar both broken, both can’t live without the other, and yet being together will never work! Or will it?
This beautifully painful love story will take you on a wild ride you’ll never want to get off. I couldn’t put it down. So many unanswered questions I needed to know. Lisa Ladew is pure genius. This series never disappoints. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves paranormal romance. Each book has its own HEA however I recommend reading in order as this series is uniquely complex and would be so much more enjoyable having an understanding of the OTM World.
Michael Pauley is brilliant and has grown into these characters so much, that he reads this series like nobody else!!

Yeah Jagger

Will Jagger get his happily ever after, he is running from the inner beast while his mate is avoiding the pain waiting in her body. This was an awesome book, an emotional rollercoaster. I laughed, which my hubby thinks is so very funny, cried and was so freaking happy. Loved the descriptive scenes of Rhen's meadow and the time jumps. Overall love the characters and the series. I so can't wait for more.

Great book, Great series!!

I love this series, and the narrator is great. The author has a way of making the characters relatable, and draws you into their shifter world making it feel like a reality or that you are escaping this reality and joining the characters.
