Interesting story. Loved that it was all three books in the series. Absolutely terrible female narrator for the second book.

The story was interesting and fun. However, the female narrator of the second book was the worst narrator I have ever had to listen to. Of the 150+ audio books I have listened to, this was the first one I almost did not finish solely due to the awful narration. Between the sing-song reading and the constant breath sounds, it made me cringe in disappointment every chapter she narrated.

Unique concept! book 2 narration was not great

This is an interesting take on fantasy romance, I really like the overall world building. There is good balance of the overall plot and romance. each book has a bit of spice too.
I really struggled with the narration in book two! The male narrator had a good voice but had an odd cadence. His narration felt kind of flat. The female narrator was really hard to listen to! she added the same lilt to the end of most of her sentences, her voices for side characters were so weird and her attempt at male voices was not great. It made me contemplate dropping the series. The book 1 and book 3 narrators were all decent. I am not a huge fan of dual narration in general. I prefer duet narration or a single narrator for the book. I hate hearing the same characters with different voices as the narrators switch from one chapter to the next.

Great story, narration lacking

I love the books themselves, but the first 2 were a bit rough to listen to. The narration was either like listening to a news story or just had very little intonation. The male readers especially seemed to just be reading, versus narrating. The 3rd book was definitely the best performance of the three. As much as I disliked the readings of the books, the story lines were done really well and it kept me involved. Still recommend these, at least for book or Kindle reading. Moving on to Vampire season with books 4-6 (I wish there was a trilogy set!)

I really enjoyed it. It caught my attention kept my attention, and I want to read the next in the series.

Nah fam

If you like women who let men get away with anything and roll over and take it then you will love this book. First girl gets abandoned and yet she gets yelled at. Second girl gets told she’s hated then she sleeps with the dude. No just no. The women are portrayed as strong but strength isn’t just rolling over and accepting a man because he has emotional issues.
