Great start!

I started reading this series out of order. Mainly because the first book was not part of the subscription. After reading book 4, 5 and 6 I used my credit and purchased this book. I had fell in love with Liam and Kim and had to know their back story!! It was well worth the money.

Yay for Cris Dukehart!!

I've been asked many times over the years the following question: If you could live in one fictional world, what would it be? For me, it's Shifters Unbound. I would love for this brilliant, paranormal world to be real. I may not like the heat, but I'd move my ass to Austin, Texas in a heartbeat. Since that's not an option, I'm immersing myself in this world once again. After all, it is the perfect escape for me.

I've read Pride Mates five times and still loved it as much as I did the first time. Though there is not a new audiobook entry for Pride Mates listed here on Goodreads, the rights to the book reverted back to Jennifer Ashley and she had the narration redone. The new-and-improved audiobook was released earlier this month. How awesome is that? Now the entire series is narrated by Cris Dukehart and it FINALLY feels right. The original narrator for Pride Mates was more than a tad disappointing. I'm beyond thrilled that Ms. Ashley listens to her fans and gave us what we wanted, exceptional narration for a book that deserved it.

Not what I thought it would be

The ending seemed good when Kim was sent home to continue on with her life, but then the return and pregnancy was cliche.

Entertaining, Has Romance & Shifters in a New Lite

Begins with a young lawyer assigned the seemingly hopeless case of a young shifter. Our lawyer has help with her research which leads her to the main shifter who becomes her lover. There are twists and turns enough to keep it interesting. [SPOILER ALERT] While it provides other characters for future stories and leaves just the least bit hanging for future books, the main storyline is wrapped up in a happy ending.

Best Ever

This is the second time I have read this series and I am getting different things out of it.
There is more personality in these shifters than other authors bring to the pages they write.
She puts so much feeling into the dialogue between the characters.
Keep em' coming

Good book but....

I like the book. But how the summary for book 2 reads. None of the stories seem connected. It like hay Kim and Liam are happy story done.

Good author. Just not a fan how the story is leaving the main characters alone. The book involved so many people. What happens to Liam's da and Gloria? What happens to Connor? Does it ever explain how Ferguson got into power and why he ended up with so much hatred for Liam and Dillon. So many plot holes. I guess I have to brave enough and keep on reaading won't I las.

Intriguing

I admit that I had some trouble following the narration, not only because I couldn't tell some voices apart but because the "I perspective" was extended to all main characters. After figuring out the dynamics and how the story was told, I've really started enjoying the whole narration and development of the story.
Intriguing way of building a world and a story 🤔 This way O knew where they stood without having to guess.

Great story!

I love this book. I own all the ebooks and now I’m getting the chance to listen to the audiobooks. It’s the first look into the Shifters Unbound world. Jennifer Ashley took a classic, the shifter, and gave it a twist that I would’ve never seen coming. I really loved hearing the audio version of this story. The narrator, Traci Odom, did a great job bringing the characters to life. I especially liked how she managed to capture the voices of each character. I look forward to hearing more of the Shifters Unbound books.

Annoying

I made it just under 2/3’s of the way through and decided that I really wasn’t enjoying this. I only went that far as it cost me my monthly credit. The female lead was so completely blasé in how she dealt with stressful and emotional situations, that I could not relate to her.
The one thing I did like was the position of the shifters in society - which was the oppressed minority, not the mighty alphas most authors depict. It was different approach.
