But though Jaime is determined to face her problem alone, nothing can stop her from wanting him.... As Beta, Dante is responsible for the protection and safety of his entire pack. If a wolf is hiding something that could endanger the others, it’s his business to know about it....

Publisher's Summary
When female wolf shifter Taryn Warner first encounters Trey Coleman, an alpha male wolf shifter with a dangerous reputation, she’s determined to resist his charms. After all, Trey - who was only fourteen when he defeated his own father in a duel, winning the right to be alpha of his pack - can’t have anything to offer the talented healer besides trouble, or so she thinks. Taryn finds herself drawn in by Trey’s forceful demeanor and arctic-blue eyes, and she eventually agrees to enter an uneasy alliance with him. If the two succeed in convincing their respective packs that they’ve chosen each other as mates, Trey will win valuable political allies, while Taryn will escape an odious arranged mating.
But there are a lot of potential pitfalls to this plan - including the very real possibility that the wolf shifters, overwhelmed by their growing attraction to each other, will be unable to maintain the clear heads needed to pull off the deception.

Surprised they didn't check my ID
This is not the first time I've looked over at my partner in the middle of a book and declared "This is Porn....", but this is probably the best time.
Usually books like this one, that are beginning to redefine both paranormal fantasy and the bodice ripper genre, are written so that I just want them to be over with so I can enjoy the good bits and stop cringing in between. Not true of this story!
There was enough interesting plot and non relationship tension to make this book a book I would have wanted to read even if it hadn't been for the INCREDIBLY steamy scenes between the two leads. There were also quite a few very funny lines and quips.
The only thing I didn't like about the book was that some of the secondary characters veered pretty far into "stick figures with a schtick" territory. Most of the time this was still fairly amusing, but sometimes I just really wanted them to shut up.
Jill Redfield did a great job of bringing across the main characters voice, and reading the steamier bits without distracting from what was going on. I always feel like the best narrators are the ones you don't notice, and so I guess she did a great job, because she only made the story better.
Overall, totally worth my credit, but I will not make the mistake of listening to any more of her books with my car windows down again! Hi Kids!

It's very hot - some reservations though
What did you like best about Feral Sins? What did you like least?
OK. I have to admit that this novel is very hot. The sex is very hot. The story is actually not too bad for a typical paranormal erotic romance novel. (I don't like formula novels - it's a love-hate thing for me. I am a romantic, but I don't agree with most of the formula story lines and long for stories that are more original.)
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
No comment, really. It's pretty easy to predict what an ending will be in this kind of novel.
Have you listened to any of Jill Redfield’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I don't think I've heard her before. The narration was very good.
Did Feral Sins inspire you to do anything?
Um, well. I don't think I'll discuss it in public!
Any additional comments?
I was bothered by the possession / dominance of the story. This seems to be typical in most romance novels. Personally, I don't get it and I'm disturbed by the encouragement of painting women as being strong ---but in the end want to find a man to submit to and even if they verbally say they don't want something in the end they really do. This one really pushed that far with the whole Alpha Wolf male. I often found myself feeling a bit creeped out.

This one is FANTASTIC!!!!!
You know its a good book when you are grinning at the book by the time it gets to the second or third chapter. You know its a notch above good when you start checking the time left on the book (even before you get through the first part) and hoping that there was still lots and lots of time left! Yep, its officially the best book I have listened to so far this year. Terryn and Trey, as a couple just make me grin.
Not only was Suzanne Wright a wonderful story teller, but Jill Redfield is one of the best narrators I have ever listened to. There were times when I found myself wondering if the narrator was a male or female. When that happens, you have got to know she's good.
Oh and by the way.....lol......I am not even through with the book yet!!!! Headed to Amazon to see if she has written anything else :)

BEWARE.... YOUR EARPHONES MAY MELT !!
I took a chance on this and I'm soooo glad I did - it captures you from Chapter 1 as Taryn, a fiesty Latent Werewolf (a Wereshifter who cannot shift), is kidnapped and made an offer she can't refuse by Trey, a mouthwatering sexy Alpha with attitude, (every good wereshifting book should have one) and the story heats up from there.
They have to deceive her father and her pack into believing that she and Trey are soul mates but in order to do this they have to go through some of the 'claiming' rituals (ahh shucks poor things!). It all backfires because they are lustfully attracted to each other and there's lots and lots (and lots) of sexual verbalisations about what he is going to do to her........ and BEWARE they are all graphically carried out.
So, if you're looking for a riveting hot paranormal romance that has strong kick-ass characters, lots of action, great sarcastic one liners that are so funny, an interesting addictive and well written plot with a few twists and, if that's not enough for you, then top it off with a talented narrator that brings to life a Wereworld that, once you visit it, you just won't be able to stay away - so I can't wait for Wicked Cravings Dante's story to come out.
Worth a credit? YES (even 2) - but my 'under $10 rule' of just buying it applied and I saved my credit for a more expensive (but maybe not so worthy) listen.

You'll Bark! You'll Howl! You'll Tell the Pack!
Wow! Paranormal lovers, remember this name: Suzanne Wright! I'd never heard of her before, but I've already started seeking out other work by this author. This book was unexpected and amazing. While it stays within the paranormal genre, it still felt fresh, in large part I think due to the fantastic characters.
Our heroine Taryn is sassy, sarcastic and often just plain rude. This is not, I suppose, unusual in the paranormal romance genre, and these very traits, more often than not, make me grind my teeth in frustration. Often these smart mouthed heroines sound like spoiled teenagers trying to prove they are tough, but that's not the case with Taryn. Somehow, Suzanne Wright makes it work. Taryn's dialogue comes across as witty, her sarcasm is more often than not hilarious.
Trey is an alpha male you can believe in. He truly follows his wolf instincts, and I really enjoyed that. No simpering human in wolf's clothing, Trey is all beast and brawn when the need arises. While it's true that, in this book, the heroine steals the show, she doesn't do so without a good deal of help from the hunky hero.
Yes, the sex is hot, and not for the faint hearted, but it is meaningful and well balanced in this book. While there's a good deal of hanky panky going on, it doesn't feel like a book full of unnecessary sex scenes, nor does the sex get repetitious as it does in some books. It flows naturally with the story line, and that is a rare thing indeed.
Jill Redfield, oh how do I sing her praises? Her pacing was excellent, and I really enjoyed her portrayal of Taryn. When reading humour, timing and delivery are everything, and she handles Taryn's character phenomenally well.
If you like paranormal romance, chances are you're going to love this book!

I may just be a prude
Would you try another book from Suzanne Wright and/or Jill Redfield?
I really did not like this book, I fast forwarded most of the book, and each time, it was the same thing. It was a bit too vulgar for me. I think you can be sexy without the characters being so disrespectful to another person. I know it can be done, I love Kresely Cole's book because of it. Just because their wolves doesn't mean you have the right to beat the bejeezus out of your mate
What do you think your next listen will be?
Not this book.
What three words best describe Jill Redfield’s performance?
I really didn't like her male's voice. I am not sure if it annoyed me because of what was coming out of the character's mouth or simply it was the voice. I think it's more of what the character was saying.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Feral Sins?
The two main characters having sex in front of their wedding guests, and the main character's talking to each other.
Any additional comments?
Writing a book is difficult, and this book may be wonderful for someone else. I bought it because of the great reviews, but if you are even a tiny bit of a prude, this may not be for you.

What a hoot!
I just loved this story, its not for the sensitive. The sex scenes and dirty talk might put some off. But it didn't worry me. Both characters are strong minded, strong willed and fierce, so floaty frilly bedroom scenes wouldn't have worked. Tarryn had me in tears with her snarky comments. The bit with the elephant, then calling the stupid she wolf an STD but best of all was telling Greta to pull her lip over her head and swallow. It was too good.
Both characters have dealt with their respective traumas and its moulded them into shifters not to be underestimated. The pack members are a cohesive unit but filled with delightful characters.
The narration was seriously good too, Suzanne Wright has another book in this series, plus some vamp offerings. I hope these get recorded. I can't wait.

This book made me uncomfortable and not in a good way. There were passages where I enjoyed the characters and story. I did not enjoy the fighting between the male and female for dominance. It irritated me. The sex scenes were something you would read in a porn magazine. It was more erotic lit than romance. I am not a romance reader - I like books that include an element of romance but have an actual story. I didn't care too much for this story. The narrator seemed slightly off as well.

Sooooo.. enjoyable (4.5)
This is the one if you like humor, sex and a paranormal plot. This is not for you if you have any problems with raw, sexual language—though I’ve eagerly listened to more and, thus, find the amount here not much—and humor through snide interplay or insults between characters. For some, the heroine could be irritating b/c she’s very, very snide and so determined to appear bigger in nature, what some would call a hard a**. But I enjoyed her. It’s also a love story that’s plausible. I was sad to see there are no other audible books by this author. I really enjoyed this book, including the narrator. Her work was not the best I’ve heard, and I’ve heard a looooooooot of books. But she worked well with this content.

YUMMY DOESN'T COVER IT!
Okay first off let me say the narration is done by the same woman who does Sylvia Days Crossfire series, so this book had me at word one, thank goodness there was an awesome plot to go with the great narration!
Secondly, I have to warn you, or entice you, that this book is full of vulgar hot steamy graphic scenes...which was great for me, but some people really don't like that, consider yourself warned!
The last warning I feel compelled to share is that if you don't like the B word when directed at a female then don't get this book, it is used about 1000 times, often in the appropriate context in my opinion but also as a word of endearment....I have a friend who would love the context of this book but hates that word so much I wouldn't recommend this book to her, what can I say it's her loss.
Great female lead, strong underestimated alpha females are always cool! Male lead is also an alpha, and in typical male fashion he is clueless as to how to handle this strong non submissive alpha woman, which makes for hot scenes, and a hot story.
I got this book during a sale, but I have to say it would have been worth a credit too! Can't wait to see the next one!

Twilight and fifty Shades mix and blown out of the
Would you consider the audio edition of Feral Sins to be better than the print version?
a very good listen although extremely graphic language, I have enjoyed the quirkiness of that author
Who was your favorite character and why?
the main characters Tray & Terin, are very sexually graphic so if that offends you this is not the set of books for you other wise a very good listen a definite hint of Twilight and Fifty Shades of Gray with a lot of fun in between

Brilliant Story
Would you listen to Feral Sins again? Why?
I will listen to this book again - good mixture of strong story, humour and a hot scenes.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Taryan - strong lady - can kick butt, quick witted with a heart and a strong scene of right and wrong
What about Jill Redfield’s performance did you like?
Loved it - good character voices which don't change making it easy to tell who is speaking.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Loved the interactions between Taryn and Greta. Taryn's come-backs are wonderful - made me laugh out loud which really made my husband turn and look at me.

Cheap porn
This book is full of sex “scenes” worthy of the cheapest, cringe making porn (well, I imagine that’s what it would be like, not having listened to any porn)! I really enjoy losing myself in the fantasy world of shifters, werewolf’s, vampires etc and was looking forward to a fun yarn! This story was ok in some aspects but was predictable and (as I’ve said) full of unnecessary sex scenes. Shame the author felt it necessary to include them really.

50 Shades with Wolves!!
This is my first book that i have listened to from Susan Wright and will not be the last. i love the main female character Taryn Warner. she has some great lines. and the banter between her and Greta fantastic. the main male character Trey Coleman can be seen as very protective of Taryn, which she finds hard as she is a very strong willed person. there are some very steamy between the two of them. i enjoyed the narrator i found it easy to tell who was talking. i am just going to buy the next book as soon as i finish this review can't wait!!

Fanbloomintastic!!!!!
First time with this author and i loved it. The interplay between the characters was lively, feisty and full of quips. The plot cradible and i did not guess correctly as to the direction. Kept it intetesting. The sarcastic comebacks were amazing and I'm only gutted that I probably won't remember most of them to use myself. Brilliant story and the next is already loaded and good to go!! 6 stars if poss!!

Brilliant introduction to the Phoenix Pack!!
What made the experience of listening to Feral Sins the most enjoyable?
The suspense and humour portrayed by the strong female character, Taryn.
What did you like best about this story?
The humour between Taryn and other packmates. Jill builds up characters so well, it's great getting to know them
Have you listened to any of Jill Redfield’s other performances? How does this one compare?
No, this was my first one by Jill
If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
Quickfire wit and a fair bit of sass
Any additional comments?
I would recommend this series strictly for adults as there is a fair bit of rompy pompy and phwooooaarr! it is really good stuff!! Let alone the characters you get to know - awesome start to a great series.....
(I have since listened to all the books in this series and was gutted when I finished the last one, I miss my daily dose of the Phoenix Pack and hope Jill manages to come up with some more books asap)

Okay, but a bit predictable
What did you like best about Feral Sins? What did you like least?
Strong characters and plausible banter.
Dropped right into an undeveloped fictional world where there are an awful lot of weres living openly alongside humans, in their own society. Would their females (presumably educated in the modern USA) really allow themselves to be passed around as if they were chattels? The female lead certainly doesn't seem like someone to tolerate it, so why should the other women?
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
I thought too much of the plot was given away early and, for me anyway, it dragged. And it was a disappointingly predictable plot.
What three words best describe Jill Redfield’s voice?
Warm, emotive, lively
Was Feral Sins worth the listening time?
No
Any additional comments?
Disappointed, sounded far more promising than it turned out to be.

Shocking Sexual Violence Against Main Character
This book was so lacking in story, I couldn't even finish it, I wish I could get my money back. There was way too much violence against the main character it was full of so much unnecessary sex scenes. It was like the writer didn't have anything to write about.

Good but not great
I enjoyed this book mostly, but did find myself not overly engaged. Narration was good and one of the main reasons I stuck with it....nice job on the male main character. It was abit more brash in story line, not as seductive as I like.mmmm probably won't continue with the series.

Loved the clever dialogue, but a tad too much sex
Feral Sins is a fun story, mostly dependent on the great, sarcastic dialogue of the female protagonist, Terran. I laughed several times out loud, which had my husband looking at me strangely (I was wearing earphones, so sudden laughter must be a little weird when you don't hear the joke).
Anyway, I enjoyed the book and will most likely read/listen to the sequels in the series, but I only gave 4 stars to the story and overall as there was an over-abundance of sex scenes that just felt like filler scenes to pad out the word count. Yes, some of the scenes were absolutely required for story development to establish the dominance/submission theme, but I felt that the characters' arcs were defined by the sex scenes which - for me - didn't work.
In my opinion, this was not the best of Suzanne Wright's books, but it's still fun and worth reading as a series starter.

Hooked from start to finish.
Could not put it down. It had me laughing, crying & wanting more. Some of the story line was predictable but it definitely had a couple of twists that made it so damn good.

Who doesn't love a cave man alpha with interpersonal issues, and a strong alpha female willing to push back just as hard to make her life work? I enjoyed this audio book very much, and I am looking forward to listening to the next one

Sexy start
There are A LOT of sex scenes in this story, so if thats not something you like, I strongly advise to avoid. I don't mind sex scenes but I found this had too many and some of them verged on being 'forced'.
There is actually an interesting story when you get passed all the sex and a great development between the main characters.
Right from the start they are throwing around the words 'latent' / 'latent wolf' & found it took too long to fully explain what this means for someone who may not have heard this term before.
I also didn't like how Trey was always calling Taryn 'baby', this is a personal thing I found really off putting cause it was all the time.
