Publisher's summary

Roxanne has suffered a concussion after a severe bump to the head, but that's okay - she's having the best hallucination ever. It involves being rescued by an incredibly handsome man who can turn into a wolf and lusts after her like no man ever has before. No, really - in her hometown, plain, chubby Roxanne was lusted after by no-one. Her handsome shifter hallucination is so hot, she finds herself wishing she'd never recover.

Steele Battle, wolf shifter, Sheriff of Timber Valley, has met the love of his life - and he must leave her behind, with her memory erased, because she's human and can never know about the existence of his people. A year later, he's still mourning the loss of the woman who captured his heart - when she strolls in to the bar in his remote, out-of-the-way town, which is not on any human map. How did she find him and what does she want? To keep her safe, Steel has no choice but to hold her captive until the town's shaman returns to erase her memory for good - but will Steele be able to part with the love of his life a second time?

Enjoyable light listening

I loved the storyline. The storyline had multiple surprise moment. It helped sleep me engaged. The narrator is goods. I wish there was a male narrator; However, the male character voices were done effectively. I loved how there are other characters involved for a good storyline.

I did not like how quickly they fell for each-other. I felt like a little bit more “build up” would’ve helped. Although there were 2 sex scenes, the sex did not overpower the book.

Wow!

Love it! But they should tell you the listening order. Even though each book could be listened to singly.

Love it!

She is such a great author. She adds so much world building and personality to her characters in such a short amount of time. There is never any lulls in her story. Narration is always fantastic with Maxine Mitchell.

Interesting to say the least

Wow! The story was great. I didn't think I would like this one but I really enjoyed it. As for the Narrator I felt as though she was good for the female voice but all the guys voices blended together. Sometimes it was hard to realize who was actually talking. Also, the guys voices seemed whiny and not like a tough shifters.

3rd Tine

I’ve listened to this series 3 times and it is still very fulfilling. Georgette has a way to develop her character while Maxine brings them to life. I love this author/narrator duo.

Good one!

I am really enjoying Georgette St. Clair's Timber Valley Pack series. They are quick listens I can finish in a day. I was very happy to hear my favorite snarky character was back in this one. I sure hope she gets her own hea. As with the others, Maxine Mitchell was awesome!

Best Of The Series

The Timber Valley Pack is a set of entertaining shifter novellas. They have felines, canines and a few of the rest of the zoo! The whole premise is that shifters have succeeded in staying hidden for centuries until recently. Now a para-military group of mercenaries and mad scientists have started kidnapping shifters to study them for weird profitable uses. This fourth story brings about a partial reveal as to what's been going on. Although this can be read as a "stand alone", it 'll pay to read the previous three to make bits of the story clear. Great little escape romances written with humor and mild suspense. Lynx on the Loose closes the series and is entertaining as well. Hope you have fun with them as I did.

Next level shifter suspense!

Phew, what a ride! The suspense levelled up a notch in this one, was at the edge of my seat the entire time! I appreciate that these books are short but full of action and have some pretty solid character development and depth. This one also does a great job of tackling the ongoing issues that the shifters are having with specie-ism, without just sweeping all the conflicts under the rug. This is a standalone novella but it helps to have listened to the previous books to be invested in the overall arc about shifters going missing.
