Great start

This is a great start to a new series. This is the first book I have listened to by Zoey but it will not be the last. I really enjoyed every aspect of this book. I loved the leads and all of the other characters. I can’t wait to learn more about them. I would highly recommend this.

Great narration!

Story: I found the world building to be pretty rich and fun. Initially I was a little lost with all the names but, after a few chapters, I got invested. A bit of a “strangers to lovers”/“enemies to lovers” mix going on which quickly turned to just love (and lots of it 🌶️🌶️🌶️) due to to a different trope that gets introduced pretty early on. Not complaining though!

Narration: I loved both narrators in this so much. Marcio Catalano is particularly good in his role as Azur. His voice is so deep and silky. The way he delivered some of his lines made me feel…so many things. 🥵 Stella Hunter is marvelous! She really helped paint a picture of a strong female lead in Gemma. Also, the duet narration! ❤️ I love duets so much since it makes the story feel more immersive.

Overall: Highly recommended! Narration doesn’t disappoint, the romance is compelling, and the world building lays great ground work for more to come. I’m forward to jumping into the next one in the series now!

Hot PNR duet narration

I always enjoy Zoey’s stories and this was no exception! Marcio and Stella did an amazing job narrating this in duet! It was a bit long but this was necessary to portray the characters and present the vast world and set the scene for the future books in series!

Great story

Fantastic story, lots of aggressive “love” making and plenty of suspense and thrills. I loved this book. There are horned vampire like creatures with humans.

Great Story!

. The narrators did a good job telling the story and giving the characters a voice emotions and all that made it entertaining to listen to it. The FMC is struggling paying off her father's debt, staff, workers and house bills while trying to hide it from her sisters. When she has no other choice she agrees to marry the MC not knowing he has an agenda of his own. This was a great story the chemistry between the two is hot , when they get together steamy, when everything unfolds heavy.

Story predictable

The narrators did a fantastic job, but the female character was so boring at times. Had to fast forward a few times because the story was just slow and not moving repeatedly at times. Loved the male voice he was fantastic! Story was just boring at times, but gave it a four for narrative because they were just fantastic!

Sci-fi alien romance with revenge, arranged marriage, and fated mates!

Desire in His Blood is the first book in Zoey Draven’s Brides of the Kylorr series. I have heard the best things about this author for over a year now and finally got around to trying them out! This is an arranged marriage, alien/vampire/berserker hero, enemies to lovers, fated mates romance!

This has really great parts, the world was interesting, he’s set on revenge, the arranged marriage with him pretty much buying her because he wants the oldest daughter in the family and her family is super broke and desperate enough to do it, and that it’s very much enemies to lovers! I do think at times it felt too long and did drag, but I had a fun time with it! I really loved once they both give in and he gets possessive and pulled in to her realizing they’re blood mates. I’ll definitely check out the next book in this series and the other series I keep getting recommended from this author!

Had downloaded it cuz the reviews were KILLER, and was disappointed the 1st 2 chapters when I 1st tried. ran out of things to do and needed a long listen so I retried...
SO GLAD I DID! 1000% worthy of any and all great reviews. I can't EVEN with Marcio's voiceless and I always love me some Stella but she was BORN to be this heroine!
