Publisher's summary

Werewolf. Billionaire. Bastard. Husband?

There's no way that Taylor Stockdale is marrying her rude, arrogant, sexy boss. Unfortunately, billionaire CEO Cliff Bronson's not the kind of man who takes no for an answer. He holds the fate of Taylor's best friend in his hands - and he's willing to bargain for Taylor's hand in marriage. But he's openly avoided her for the past year, so why is he suddenly demanding a wedding - before the next full moon? And why did he call her his "mate"? And why does everyone in the little town of Hidden Hills act so weird once a month?

Cliff Bronson has made a terrible mistake. He'd been long-distance lusting after the curvy secretary for the past year - he likes her smart mouth as much as her full figure. The second he met Taylor in person, he knew that she was his, and he knew she was a werewolf - he smelled it on her. So, as was his right, he demanded that she be his mate. Unfortunately, it turns out that Taylor has no idea of what she is, and the first rule of being a werewolf is, nobody talks about being a werewolf. Now it's a race against time to convince her that she's his one and only - before his pack enacts their terrible and ancient law calling for the death of any human who learns of their existence.

Contains mature themes.

Authority is confusing

Why have an alfa if there's an individual pack council. An overall council for all packs is understandable. But when there's a council always over ruling the alfa. why is there even an alfa? It creates unneeded drama which is very annoying.

This is my type of genre and I going if was just okay. I just needed to push to the end so I could just be done with it. I lost interest somewhere near the end.

terrible

The narrator of this book is making my ears bleed. I couldn't even finish the book . I got to chapter 3 and seriously had to bail.

one unexpected turn after another

This was a very entertaining story. You have a flawed hero and heroine but they're also quite likable. The supporting cast has funny dialogue and help to keep the story moving along. With a large cast, there is always the risk of some questions being left unanswered (were there any changes to the rules or the elders, were truth tests given to others suspected of being a party to any wrongdoing) but the author did a good job of answering the questions at the forefront of the readers' thoughts. Though an enjoyable diversion, I doubt I'd read this story again. May give the author another try should I just want something lite to listen to.

Good Book

I thought this was a good book but was very drawn out and slow. Good storyline that was different.

Good book

The author has her own writing style. She sometimes slows down so much at times that I drift away from the story. Unfortunately I had this quite a bit. The story as always had a good plot and great story line. I would recommend this to a friend. The narration was excellent.

Storyline Cool

I like the way the story moved and stayed busy. They used some vampire facts to reference wolfs. You just don’t mix supernatural facts among species. Other than this, I enjoyed the story.

DNF

Not bad overall but disappointing for work by this author.
Plot is ok although a little bit choppy in places.
Dialog feels forced at certain points throughout the book.
I had a hard time with the narrator, nothing inherently wrong with the reading I just didn’t like the whisper-shouting around chapter 17 and her portrayal of the male characters voices was not quite comfortable.

Not a bad story and storyline. An easy read truthfully. So if you find yourself at a loose end, give it a go.

Ware mates

Love this book, I thought it was great. It wasn’t too much as in guts and gore or too much romance. Either, it was a nice blend. The voices were great and easy to listen to.

Good read

It's a good read, decent plot to follow.
OK, I really read it for easy smut and that was great. Nothing to intense just steamy.
The story is a simple one, one seen in many Mate shifter books.
Alpha wants their mate, something needs doing before they can do it, there is a villain or antihero and a struggle to balance the task and getting their mate.
In this book the struggle to get the mate was not that hard, the twist as to how she became a shifter is a little weird...more Psychotic than evil genius...but I was still surprised though.
overall a good read...doesn't make me want to jump right onto the next book, I just know they are there when I want to read them...but I'm not hurrying onto what happens to Grant.
It reminded me of the Wild Pack series by Alisa Woods....but that one us better in other ways which is why I'm like...okay book 🤷🏿‍♀️
