Publisher's Summary

This is not a romance. This is not a pat little ending about Jonathan and I riding off into the sunset. I knew I was never destined for that, but no one warned me about the pain. No one told me about the hurt. No one told me what I'd risk for him.

I'll do anything to make it right. Anything. You think I won't kill for him? You're wrong.

I have to earn my happily ever after, and we have to survive it.

Deliciously enticing & one all time favorite serie

I'm a relatively new book worm... I've been reading religiously for a fewish years now. I've read a hellacious amount of contemporary & erotica books & series, including Fifty Shades, Crossfire, Neighborly Affection, Hansel, Sloth & many more. This series is one of my select favorites. I can't number them because I love them all for different reasons. Just know this one is in the tippy top of the list. If you're into suspense, new love, etc. this has it all! CD is an amazing writer with a wonderful wit that reflects in her characters. This is a must read & listen! The audio brings that extra something! Do it for yourself!

Every single emotion is felt. Amazing narration!

What did you like best about this story?

I loved how Jonathan basically did not give up on being himself and how Monica craved for him to be as he was before his health scare. You see these people that love each other unconditionally grow apart and then get closer as part of their process of adjusting to a new way of life.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This conclusion to Jonathan and Monica's story is so beautiful and so heartfelt... I cried, I hurt and I swooned all throughout.

Any additional comments?

Such an amazing conclusion to a great story! you can never have enough about the Drazens.

one of the BEST series I've read

I am an avid audio books listener and have hundreds of books in my library. I rarely if ever leave a review but after this series, I must! I have never felt so connected with characters in any book as I have with these. Through this read (listen) I laughed, cried and felt like I was right in the moment. This series is not so extra with gory details of the sex scenes so it made it even better of a listen. And the narrator with GREAT!

Intense

I'm not one who understands that pain/pleasure thing. I just can't empathize with that, but the intensity of this story and its characters makes me understand it a little more. I have fallen in love with this family.

Amazing series with a happy, complete ending!

This series was simply amazing, had me on the edge of my seat every chapter! I loved the characters, their flaws and endearing qualities paired to make realistic individuals that, within them, I could lose myself. I appreciated the relation to life experiences and was so glad to hear Jonathan's point of view as time worn on. Start from the beginning, immerse yourself inside, and come out from this series with warmth and a smile (but sad that it's over).

Romance not smut

Really enjoyed the writing style and the narrators. Really just a cocktail of awesome. Such a realistic story with some very hot sex and dirty mouths.

Not a typical romance, heart-wrenching, actually

This chapter, of this series, is almost unbearable. I know I have never cried so much. This is so well written that my emotions became the characters'. So if you are wanting the typical patterned romance, then you are in for a surprise.

As far as the sexual relationship between the two characters? I'm not sure how I feel about that. I understand the relationship between pleasure and pain and I am certainly not a prude, but the level of their violence was uncomforting. In my opinion, it's one thing to get carried away with rough play and cause bruising and soreness, and another thing to set out for that goal from the beginning. It makes me, a psychologist degree holder, think of a abusive past instead of a sexual kink. Maybe my unique situation clouds my judgment. Be that as it may, the story is powerful and is a story that will stay with me; a sign of brilliant writing.

Love this series!

I can't say enough about CD Reiss's writing! She sucks you into her stories and keeps you wanting more, as for the narration of this series BRAVO! They did a wonderful job and I can't imagine a better set of voices to capture Monica and Jonathan.

TOUGHT TO GET THROUGH BUT STILL GOOD

My review headline says it all really, this was a tough one for me to get through from start to finish. Perhaps I'd had my fill of Jo Raylan singing, and it wasn't until this third installment in the series that I felt like there just wasn't enough of Christian Fox's narration. Hours of the 'Goddess' and Jonathan's constant struggles that seemed to only get fixed through angry sex, was a bit much, but, all in all I was happy to see some loose ends tied, and these two finally find a happy medium. After two really brilliant preceding stories the final installment left me lacking a bit, but, CD Reiss is a great author and I will definitely purchase and recommend future books.
