Publisher's Summary

A new enemies-to-lovers standalone.

Byron Crowne is a charming liar and a gorgeous monster.
I detest him.
I can't resist him.
He’s awakened desires I didn’t know I had.
When he touches me, I need to fight him...and I need him to win.
Our one night stand bruises my skin and leaves dents in the walls, but the sheets aren't the only thing we shred that night.
And suddenly, the stakes are higher than ever.

Olivia Monroe lights a fire in me that died a long time ago.
I’m a different man when I’m with her. I need to own her, take her, mark her as mine.
Everything changes when she might be pregnant and for the first time in my life...I’m powerless against this stubborn, untamable woman.
She’s the one in control and I have an impossible job:
Prove I’m worthy to be a father.

A “JUST ONE MORE” 5 STAR ALL-NIGHTER

I love the way this talented author builds her stories, paints her scenes and skilfully creates and describes seismic chemistry that you can truly feel.. and with this book she did all that and so so much more. In this enemies-lovers story CD writes about the angsty push ‘n pull conflict both characters have as they near the flame that could potentially destroy them both.. but, if they looked again, it could also be the perfect fit, fix and future for them both. CD challenges and taunts you with the ethical and personal dilemmas that Olivia faces as the professional and personal forks in the road loom.. and you pray she makes the right decision for her, for Byron and for their future. CD gives you a strong crusading heroine you empathize with as her dreams of becoming a Mom shatter month after month with every failed IVF try.. but you have your fingers crossed that timing will be everything and trust that CD knows what’s she doing. CD gives you a powerful, closed-off, self-possessed, emotionally damaged, hot alpha anti-hero with a bruised soul who steals your heart bit by bit and, as the tragedy in Byron’s past is slowly revealed, his true loving nature shines through his crumbling possessive walls. And finally, she gives you the raw passion, hot sex (with sub-Dom undertones), love and the HEA you knew she was oh so capable of deliciously delivering.

Worth a credit? Complex vulnerable characters, a well-oiled clever battle of wits, manoeuvres and winners plotline, a smouldering sensual awareness and awakening of dark desires and a tug of war.. because he doesn’t want love and she’s fighting against feeling it. The awesome dual POV narration by Elena and Sebastian brought CD’s characters, well-plotted words and all the delicious feels to life and made this an addictive, memorable and YES, very creditworthy.

f'k someone you hate cause he's HOT as hell..yummy

How are things supposed to turn out when you're trying to have a baby and making out with someone you despise. Wait... why are you having sex with someone you despise?? Well, cause he's f'n hot and he wants you too! You can't keep your hands off of him. Geesh... I'm not sure what to do in this dilemma... never had to face such a choice. After having listened to this book, I wish I had this dilemma! OMG Hot! Hot! Hot!

This is a wonderful story that starts off in unusual circumstances but works its way around to a HEA. It's definitely a great listen to how two people who hate each other can't live without each other. So cute!

The narration is just perfect. You will definitely enjoy this book! Don't miss out.

Wow!! A complete winner.

Let's start by stating the obvious... C.D. Reiss can write like nobody else! This woman has such a gift for words and for developing character chemistry that is uncanny. The premise if the story is solid, the pace is very well done and the stakes were always high. These characters were engaging and she definately delivered on the sexy / hotness factor. Elena Wolfe and Sebastian York are always such a dream together, but having them narrate for C.D Reiss is like the perfect trifecta of voice to content. I am.so happy this is a series because it means I'll get to hear more about the characters as the other's stories develop. So thrilled for this audio! A true must listen.

It was ok

Though I really enjoyed the narration and the book, the storyline was just....ok. For me, the back and forth bickering was too much b/w the main characters.. which in hindsight for those two..is indeed foreplay..but I got a little tired of it. So much so, I was not able to connect with the characters. I enjoy a loving alpha male like Byron as much as I enjoy a strong female character. I truly enjoyed Olivia’s character as a no nonsense woman.Overall, it’s a good book. Great narration by Sebastian York and Emma Wolfe.

Mediocre

Great narrators, but the story wasn’t worth a credit. Not bad, just nothing special. Won’t listen to it again.

Wet panty, toe curling, lip wetting and can’t stop listening from start to end

Again Christine RD Reiss nailed it again with this one...bring back some many hot hot moments I loved from ‘The Marriage Games’. Lord Byron and Beauty ( Olivia) - rivals, enemies to passionate hot sex and it is raw, it is genuine and I love he chemistry . I wanted more and can’t wait for Logan’s story in Crowne of Lies....Christine....you got me hot and flustered in this story...

Can't wait for the next one!

I was annoyed with the MCs at first, but I came to love them and their story. The narrators were great (as usual) and I'm really interested to see how the rest of the family member's stories play out!

Loved these voice actors

I had never read a book from this author - but I'm glad that I did. This book was a man-made ride from start to finish.

Normally I love CD Riess BUUT

I normally love CD Reiss books but not this one

I tried and tried but I could just get in to it. it had a hard time catching my focus. and I think the sex scenes were very flawed and boring in what CD reiss usually writes.
