Publisher's summary

From New York Times best-selling author Kim Karr comes a flirty new love story.

The whole stethoscope-and-white coat thing isn't my cup of tea.

I prefer a man with an artistic vein in his body and 9-to-5 hours. And I can definitely do without the half-lidded, sleepy bedroom eyes. (Okay, so those are kind of sexy.)

Tall, dark, and handsome doesn't change the fact that he's arrogant, cocky, and rude. Not that I care, but he's made it clear he wants nothing to do with a quirky girl like me, which is why he said no.

Turns out no isn't an option.

I have a quickie wedding to plan, and Dr. Jake Kissinger doesn't have a choice. He looks at our situation like he's stuck with me, but in reality, I'm stuck with him. Stuck with his pouty mouth. His long, lean body. And stuck with those loose, low riding scrub pants. (Okay, so the doctor thing is growing on me.)

When spending time together turns into more than it should, I know I'm in trouble. He isn't supposed to make my heart pound. I'm not supposed to make him look twice. And we aren't supposed to spend the night together. (Okay, so he has more than one artistic vein in his body, and other places.)

Falling for him is definitely a mistake. Here's the thing... Jake is unavailable, and I know it. Just not in the way you might think.

I guess you can't have your cake and eat it too.

The thing about LOVE is 😚😚😚😚

A delightful listen in it's own right! Loved the story line, the narrator's were on point. I have listened to a couple of books by Christian and I actually like his voice. Summer is always a treat to listen to. Glad I stumbled upon this one😉

I have another top favorite narrator

This was a great book. I've had it for a long time and just now got around to listening to it. There is more depth to the story than I anticipated. It was great. I highly recommend it. And I don't believe I've ever heard these 2 narrators before and while I'm a huge AA/SY fan, these 2 are a tough competition.

Jules and Jake

A beautifully captivating, witty, and charming story. Jules and Jake are perfectly imperfect, the start off on the wrong foot, but slowly they develop a cute friendship. We are taken on a journey of letting go of the past, growth, and undeniable love. I liked this book.
Narration as wonderful!

Love isn't just one thing!!

When I first started listening I thought this was about a woman that was failing at trying to hold onto her uncle's wedding planning business she took over after his retirement.
But it was so much more. Jules/Juliet had lots of insecurities due to a very traumatic life experience that I dont want to spoil.
This book took me in an very unexpected direction.
After listening you will also be surprised of the tradgies that both Jake and Juliet experienced.
But there is a lovely romance here and flashbacks that are important to the story which impacted us all.
Great narration and story by Kim Karr. I'm playing catch up on some of her books but shes a favorite author of mine. I liked everything about this story and the journey and characters I experienced for their HEA.

Made it through 1 chapter

It's rare that I cant even get through a chapter of a book but even making it past the first 2 minutes was rough. Summer Morton's narration was grating just because she speaks SO SLOWLY and I have a pet peeve about heroines who are this painfully insecure that it permeates their entire life. thankfully I borrowed this through the escape package or I'd be upset I wasted a credit.

Sloooooow = DNF

An hour into it and the hero hasn’t even appeared. Just a bunch of whiny characterization.
