Publisher's summary

One text to the wrong number—mine—and everything changed.

He won’t tell me his last name, and maybe that should throw up a thousand red flags, but when I’m all alone in a new city and struggling to make ends meet, his texts are the lifeline I’ve been desperate for.

I never would have answered that text if I’d known that Lincoln Daniels—superstar hockey player extraordinaire—was the one sending it.

He’s trying to sweep me off my feet now. He says he’s obsessed.

He wants me to wear his number…permanently. But is he still the wrong number, or can this hockey god prove he’s Mr. Right?

The Pucking Wrong Number is book one in the Pucking Wrong series but can be enjoyed as a standalone. It is a dark hockey romance from USA Today bestselling author C.R. Jane. Lincoln Daniels is a morally grey antihero who is obsessed with his girl and will do anything to keep her.

This audiobook contains mature subject matter. Listener discretion is advised.

Great read

Although you can tell the author really doesn’t know anything about playoff hockey(Dallas and Nashville wouldn’t be in the Stanley Cup finals ever). The book is otherwise well written and the storyline was intriguing. Definitely recommend!

Great

I really liked this one! I found Lincoln’s brand of crazy kinda endearing. Ha ha! Only in books though…in real life he would be straight up crazy. I really enjoyed the way he just put his heart out there for Monroe. He never held anything back. Audiobook was great!

Wow.

I went in so blind to this book thinking it was a normal hockey romance when all of a sudden BOOM dark. As far as character development goes, Monroe deserves an award. Having the strength to leave the situation she was in at 17 and working her ass off was so good. Lincoln was a walking red flag! My goodness was he obsessed, but it added so much to the plot! That twist I didn’t see coming. I rerouted my calls for the last hour of this book haha

50 Shades book Vibe

I think this book touched on the emotional damage better in a shorter amount of time. Abuse, whether emotional or physical, that people live with every day and how they learn to deal with it.

Love the book

I love a book that’s interesting from the start, easy to listen to without building up a story. This was so much fun. Troy Duran and female narrators were back/forth. Neither had to read others part.
The fun part was someone so awesome being totally in love with the other.
Wonderful love story.
I’ve re-listened to this several times.
Worth a credit and a hea.
Enjoy!

It was okay…

So I’ll start with the good stuff, the main guy was greatly written! Clear goals, sexy and wonderful voice acting! He was a wonderful stalker haha 😂 The story was pretty good too (quite a bit of victimizing just a heads up). Very easy to follow and flowed well! Now the one thing that drove me nuts and actually almost made me stop listening/ made me take breaks/ and had me skipping was the female lead. OMG she was so annoying! Every time you think she’s going to be a strong character she goes into self doubt or victim mode. Easily caves and just naive all of the time. It was really hard to take her seriously or relate to her in any way….I like she was given a hard childhood but god she would just drone on and on sometimes and never really grew as a character. In all I think it was a good simple story and I’ll take a chance on the next one but buyer beware of the female lead!!

Totally enjoyed

This story was totally worth the credit. A cute romance that starts off dark and ends dark with a sweet little twist. There’s also a sneak peak at book 2!

If you love an obsessed, unhinged MMC

I love an unhinged obsessed MMC and Lincoln most definitely fits the bill. While this book isn’t dark per se, it definitely has elements of an infatuated stalker willing to go above and beyond (to epic cringe levels) in order to get the girl.

Do I need therapy because Lincoln Daniels is my new Book boyfriend? Possibly 😂
