Publisher's Summary

FBI analyst Kassidy Bishop is assigned to the "'For You' Killer" task force after a series of sadistic murders bearing the same signature arise in different parts of the country. The homicides are both calculated and savage, occurring in different states, but bearing the same signature: the words "for you" scribbled at each crime scene.

The case chills Kassidy, bringing back memories of her own encounter with a violent criminal five years earlier. Kassidy's mentor, legendary agent Talia "The Confessor" Crossen knows the task force assignment is Kassidy's chance to prove to her colleagues that she belongs in the Behavior Analysis Unit. For five years, other FBI agents and profilers scoffed at Kassidy's appointment to the BAU, believing she was only offered the position in exchange for her silence about the brutal assault that almost killed her.

The stakes rise when the task force links the killer's signature to Kassidy. As more and more bodies turn up, Kassidy must delve into her past and the mysterious death of her twin sister, which holds the key to uncovering the killer's identity. The closer Kassidy comes to finding the killer, the closer she comes to a deadly confrontation that could cost her everything - including her own life.

Really Liked Book And Narratoe

I enjoyed this book. It was different. It had twists and turns and held my attention. I thought the narrator was excellent. Her tone was on the soft spoken side and expressed each character differently. It was really nice. I hope to hear a lot more from her.

Don’t waste your credit

Dull, predictable and listening to that narrator was painful. Don’t waste your credit or your time.

Never realized...

...how much the narrator can make or break a story. I came "this close" to calling Audible and returning the book because of the narration. The narrator has such a soft voice that lacked the power and suspense needed to carry this book; she should narrate romance novels. I might have rated the book itself (story, overall) higher but could not get past this narrator softly telling about brutal crime scenes and other horrific situations. I will say I did listen to the end, the story was captivating enough to want to know how it ended. The other thing is the story was a couple of chapters too long BUT the author did add some twists, tied everything up in an enjoyable manner...and maybe it seemed too long because I was suffering through the narrator.

A wasted Credit

I might have been able to listen to more of this title but the narration was beyond terrible. I will never listen to anything by this narrator. Did I mention how awful it was??

Why is the narrator whispering throughout the entire story???

She sucked. Ruined the entire story. It especially sucks because Regan has used the same narrator for all of her books until now and the change just ruined the entire experience.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

book was slow and at times predictable. had figured out the bad guy about half way through. seems a little weak.

What didn’t you like about Laura Jennings’s performance?

Narrator was just awful! she basically talks in a whisper and does not change the tone in her voice so it is all too even keeled. I seriously almost asked for the credit back because I just could not stand to listen to her.
