Love It!

I have read this series before (ebook on Amazon) but I love audiobooks and Shane East is *Italian kiss*. You have to give it a try if you love paranormal romance, adventure, sexy men and a good plot. There is excellent and natural character development throughout the book and you never get bored while listening. East portrays the characters well (similar to how I imagined them when I first read the book) and even does female voices and accents beautifully. I will definitely be waiting for the next in Denali Day’s’ series!
*This book does not contain full on steamy scenes but does have implied heat. (Well written and up to the reader to use their imagination).

All the feels - hate to love

I have never hated main character as much as I disliked Joselyn. She was so damaged and with such a willful stubborn spirit I didn’t see how they would have worked out. On many occasions I found myself cussing out loud that Hollen needs to just return her to psycho father and fiancé coz they deserve each other. Shane East’s reading of Joselyn parts emphasized her nasty spirit and his reading of Hollen made me fall in love wit the barbarian. The depth of character development in this book was so good I couldn’t stop listening . It was so emotionally charged and at times draining . If you want to feel emotional turmoil of indecision , listen to this book because it is well written .
*this book is such a tease - 19 hrs of listening and not even a little steamy scene… why?

Loved it

Loved the storyline but was sorely disappointed when I realized it was fade to black. Also found myself more in love with the bonus story. Overall it was a good listen especially with Shane East as the narrator. He did an excellent job

I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed it :) there was alot more story then just one big long bed scene. I can't wait to listen to more.

Vary well written.

Well done! I loved the two cultures & combinations of honor & duty. The love story was both balanced & fraught with perils both emotional & physical. A well balanced story with well rounded characters.

Excellent!

First time reading/listening to this authors work. Thoroughly enjoyable! The description to each character brought them to life. Jocelyn and Hellon’s love was pure, tender and with a hint of passion. Their lovemaking scene was an enjoyable “flight to the imagination”!
Shane East: is one of my favorite narrators kept me enthralled throughout the book. Will definitely keep reading this series.

Great start

I don't listen to a lot of science fiction/fantasy but pick up a book now and then for a change of pace. This one was excellent. Great story, if a bit brutal at times. Shane East is such a good narrator that I have searched for books that he has narrated. His voice is easy to listen to and has just the right tone in whatever he is doing. His accent was not pronounced in this character and that was perfect, even though it is lovely to listen to. This is a true saga type story but just the first character's story. I like that it was complete while opening the door for the next one. I would highly recommend this book even for those who are not regular sci fi fans like myself.

love it! can't get enough

I could not get enough and was so glad of the bonus story of Collette and her barbarian. Kudos to the narrator , brought the story all the more to live. Love it, love it, love it.

Amazing story. I can't wait to finish the series. This book and story telling is exactly what I was looking for Gripping fantasy romance without excessive explicit sexual description, perfect for keeping me on the edge if my seat screaming for more. Ms.

very exciting

it was a different experience for me. I enjoyed most except the glory detail of torture near the end.
I was excited about hearing the short story about Holland's parents meeting.
