Adults only

I want aware that this book contains sexually explicit content/erotica. There is also sexually violent content. I was listening to it first with earbuds thank God because I usually listen to audio books in my car when my kid is with me.

there needs to be a warning for this sort of content.

Greek Mythology For All

Well done. The basic gist of this audiobook is that it is a fictionalization of some of the classic Greek myths. The pace, tone, and dialogue is modernized without taking away from the heart of the myths. While the characters might use anachronistic speech or terms, none of the immersion is spoiled. In fact, everything is much more relatable.

The narration was excellent. The narrator was clear and smooth, and he captured the essence of the material and its mythical source.

If you are interested in Greek myths but don’t want anything too heavy then this is for you. I will be listening to other works by both the author and the narrator.

Great Insight Into The Mythos!

The book was phenomenally written and read! The author has the book divided into sections by story, and also, incorporating chapters in the story sections. This is a small, yet enormous detail, for the fact that, it breaks up the monotony. It also helps the listener/reader know what's going on, and makes the information easy to digest. I also really appreciate the short, sweet, yet understandable explanations of each story. Anyone interested in Greek Mythology, I would suggest giving this a listen/read. Although, there's one small critical nuance I must add; that's the fact that there are only stories of between 4 and 6 of the Greek mythos. I wanted more, and of the heroes and tales that are popular, as well as the more unpopular one like the ones the used. But, other than my small inquire, it's a fantastic book that I will revisit in the future!

Well done but not accurate

The stories are not faithful to the original Greek Myths. There are several modern English phrases that feel incredibly off and out of place. The overall narration and production is very well done, but if you're looking for an in depth analysis of Greek myths this is not it.

Not what I was looking for

I was looking for an overview of many stories, and not just a handful of new fictional tales based on a few familiar names. This book was extremely disappointing. Even judging the tales on their own merits they are pretty disappointing. Can I get my money back???

A solid bit of information

First, I love the narration. Derek Perkins sounds awesome every time I hear him. Between him and Tim Gerard Reynolds, they are my favorite consistently heard narrators.

As for the stories…

I was surprised that they would be written in a story form at all. I got wind of this by the YouTube channel Mythology Explained and didn’t think it would be this well written set of derivative stories.

I was pleasantly surprised by them. I enjoyed my time with this audiobook a great deal, and hope that another set of story will come.

Really enjoyed this audio book. The Narrative was melodic, clear and captivating. Storyline illustrative with a good explanatory discussion afterwards. Will recommend this audible.

It was excellent.

It kept me waiting for more of Greek Mythology.
The narration is excellent and the stories are beyond beautiful. I loved the explanation, the morals are for all times to consider.

Disappointing!

The Greek mythology is often fascinating - unfortunately this does not apply to the selection in this book, nor it’s versions.

Obsessed

I loved it so much I finished it in 3 days. This was exactly what I was looking for, the myth and then a lesson. Wish there was more 👏🏻

Awful

The myths are all over the place. You don't know one from the other. The narrative voice is terrible very slow and whining. Not happy I wasted my money on this
