Loved this!!!!

Ahhhh…..I loved this and I need the next book!!!

There are so many surprising twists and turns, and the romance…gods!!! The passion and spice was of the charts with these two!! I freaking LOVE Rain!!!

This is highly recommended if you love fantasy and romance! But it is so much more than just that, the intense action scenes, being afraid certain characters would die, it has you flying through it to see what is going to happen!! And THE ENDING!!! I’m just gonna say that it’s a good thing book two is already out!!!

Was a great story, and I loved both narrator’s! To bad he was just at the end. However, she did great for all parts! Loved it!

Asleep by Ch. 3

I am surprised I lasted that long. Thought I was being too hasty so backed up, but didn't help. Idk if it was the story or the narrator, tbh. The story was slow and confusing. I get building up intrigue by holding back details, but this story gave me a headache trying g to figure out the foundation of the story aside from the blurb.
The narrator did a decent job with the fmc, but any voices she had to do were horrid.
** Additional thoughts **
Okay, I tried again bc I'm broke, and this book is a decent length. Skipped through a lot again, but it was a hit better than my first try. Emma still bugs me with her waffling. The intricate details of scenes were just filler and unnecessary. The male narrator was good up until he did female voices. Those were awful.
On a good note, the entirety didn't give me a headache. Yay?

Beautiful love & Strong mama FMC

I loved this book so much! A love that time just couldn’t shake, deep friendships, found family, secrets unraveling, and political intrigue with gods and goddesses blessings- all the best elements for a five star romantasy!
I also absolutely love the older FMC. She’s been through a lot already in her life and the protective mama bear mode and respect for her changed body all add to my love for this story!

I love the love story.

It was a little long winded at the beginning but I’m glad that I stayed til the end. It was great story. Now off to book 2.

Oh nooo - cliff hanger! I bought this book for my audible, since I have many still to read kindle books. However I was so excited to see what’s next that ingaf to get the kindle version as well - so include fast read forward.

Great combination between characters, story, action/excitement and romance. Also I realllllyyy love that the heroine is a bit older (35 years ?) and has a kid. As a mom I got tired reading about the 22y women.

The story is about a mother on a crusade to save her daughter from the bad guys as well as herself from a life not worth living. Can’t wait for the next one…

Adult Fantasy Romance 📖🎧

Emmeline has lived in isolation for 16 years after the murder of her sister, Lucia, a young woman with divine abilities. After recognizing similar abilities in her daughter, Emmeline left her life in Ravemont behind to raise Elora on the quiet outskirts of Brambleton. That is, until her daughter and husband are kidnapped. Em is then forced to return home to seek the aid of those she left behind. 

 
This is a refreshing second chance/found family fantasy romance with MFC/MMC/Characters in their mid-30’s. I think that the author beautifully captures and conveys the entertaining, intriguing, and at times challenging emotional complexities of processing trauma, loss, and rekindling life-long friendships. The witty banter that spoke of familiarity between the characters had me laughing out loud, but the author also explored the shadows of insecurity that loom as Emmeline struggles to reestablish friendships after the betrayal of vanishing 16 years ago. Throughout the journey, a heart throbbing romance is renewed that had me smiling, giggling, and blushing in reminiscence of youthful love and hope. As the story progresses, the relationship continues to develop and offers all the slow burn and angst I could ask for as an adult fantasy romance reader in her 30’s! Between Wrath and Mercy has quickly become one of my top five favorite fantasy romance books/series. Jess Wisecup is truly an amazing author and gave me everything that I didn’t know I needed in this story.
