The highly anticipated third installment of the steamy Artefacts of Ouranos series journeys deeper into the glittering fae world as Lor puts both her life and her heart on the line in this enemies-to-lovers fantasy romance.

With the Heart Crown now in her possession, Lor must navigate the dangers of being an heir on the run, knowing more than one power-hungry ruler is after her blood. When she returns to Aphelion to unlock her magic and recover her family's legacy, it becomes clearer than ever that all that's gold doesn't sparkle. No stranger to battles, she continues to fight her attraction to the Aurora Prince, understanding this might be the one she finally loses.

As the past mixes with the present, Lor uncovers the truth about the Artefacts and their role in shaping her destiny. Now, her future hangs in the balance, leaving her closer than ever to getting everything she's ever wanted...or losing it all forever.

I read the first 2 books and absolutely loved them but couldn’t get the 3rd except through audible. Had I started this series on audiobook, I never would have made it. I love the characters and the story but the female narrator made it almost unbearable. Lor started out like a badass and this woman literally made her out to be a whiny and annoying character. The 2 male narrators painted Nadir and Gabriel into a weird subdued monotone apathetic and a random British accented tortured soul. Neither were good, but Nadir is supposed to be emotional and intense but came across in the audio as numb and tired sounding.

I’m going to power through the last book but what a complete downer.

The narrators are awful, especially the female

The end is so cruel. But dang is the rest of this story so good! The voice actors did a wonderful job! Thank you!

My expectations going into the series have improved greatly over the course of the last three books. While I don't think it's perfect, I will say for me, it has enough plot and character development to genuinely enjoy this book. I won't give anything away but there are some predictable plot points if you pay attention. Which honestly never took away from my enjoyment, it just made me sort of anxious to see if I was right lol I'm glad I continued with this series and I'm on my way to seeing how it will end.

Listen, I had a good time.
