Beautifully written book

Cursed Demon made me mad, sad but had me laughing out loud at the same time. I loved the quirky characters even though I will agree pulling their heads off would be quite fun. Poppy Royana's voice and narration were absolutely on point and stellar. I received this book for free at my request but this is my honest unbiased review that I am voluntarily leaving of my own volition. DO NOT MISS THIS BOOK AND SERIES.

Another good listen

I absolutely loved this book. At first I thought this should have been the first book, until I listened for a little while. The narrator did an awesome job. Would definitely recommend this book.

Emma's journey from damsel to rescuer. Her love story. All of it is addictive. I really hope you decide to write more about her because I really love personality. Amazing story.

Just read it or listen to it if you love fantasy and a strong woman

So refreshing for this genre, I loved every moment.

A balance of vulnerability with strength and some added gore and brutality.

An amazing new author and narrator partnership

Urban fantasy is my new favourite genre - at least when I read a work of fiction like this from a new and talented author, Brogan Thomas. Combine this with talented narration by Poppy Royana that sweeps you up into the action, emotion and characters from the very first page and I was from the outset simply sitting back and enjoying the fun ride. That is the word to describe this book is outstanding.

There are so many factors to enjoy in the 'Creatures if the Otherworld Series' - too many to mention specifically in a short review however if I was to highlight the ones that stood out to me it would be the vivid world building and likeable characters. I want Emma, Forrest et al as best friends in the real world. Humour and fun abound and the warm bonds that develop between characters are poignant to behold. The betrayals, forgiveness and deep connection had my heart beating fast and 100% invested..

Too often lately, I am irritated by characters in books to the point I feel inclined to stop reading or skip forward. The personalities are not likeable at all at first and yes they redeem themselves and a kinda OK relationship builds (or at least attraction) but I have lost interest in the characters long before that occurs. Not so the characters in this Series. Emma and Forrest are vulnerable but totally invincible. Their verve for life and love despite much suffering and loss has the reader cheering for them consistently from the outset. What incredible quirky, brave, and resilient women they are. And their personal growth, though impressive occurs in a realistic time frame to allow it to feel real, deep and long-lasting.

Now to John.... well he is in all ways a shocking character but somehow Brogan Thomas has me rooting for him and wanting him to open himself to love and life in all its fullness. Brogan administers writing magic here to instill hope and faith in his redemption in the reader. To lead the reader to feel he is worthy of redemption.

A final love: Tieing together the events of Book 2 and Book 1 in the last chapter was satisfying but yet left me longing for more. I look forward to Book 3 later 2021.

Fantastic

I was so excited to start this. A thrilling book from the beginning to the end. Brogan Thomas is a brilliant writer. The details and characters were perfect. I felt as though I was right there within the story with Emma.
Emma is so pure. She is a very gentle soul. When she has no choice but to fight for her survival it is hard for her to accept that the supernatural coming for her could get hurt. The introduction of the young wolf and then the hellhound was just the beginning of this action packed story.
It was absolutely brilliant the way everything came together.
Poppy Royana brought everyone to life. The flow was perfect.

Another amazing story! Emma is such a fierce heroine, finding out who she is and what she’s really made of, and choosing to always be the better person.
I loved seeing her grow into herself & learning to forgive & love!

Wow I'm loving this author!

What a brilliant second book! you can read this as a stand alone but I'm so pleased I read the first book as it has some great references to it in this one! I'm so looking forward to the next book in this series and any future books by this author too.

Emotional Rollercoaster

I really enjoyed this book, it kept me on the edge of my seat, with baited breath as Emma's life descended into hell, the plot twists kept me on my toes and wondering how this could all work out. Imagine my surprise at Brogan's ability to weave all the tangled ends into a happy ending, I look forward to reading more in this series. I received this book in exchange for my honest review.

Brogan Thomas is brilliant; she is creative with an incredible imagination. Her world-building is phenomenal, packed with all types of supernatural components. The characters are well-developed, definitely appealing, and fascinating. Poppy Royana did a stellar job with the narration; she portrayed the characters' personalities and captured the intensity of the scenes. Overall, Cursed Demon is well-written with a quality plot and narration, one I'll highly recommend.
