So fun to listen to!
Rachel is probably top 3 of my favorite FMC, the Kim portrays her is amazing! The plot and follow through are well met. Just as glad I own the audiobooks as I am of my paperbacks!

Loved this!!
I have been a HUGE fan of Kim Harrison and her Hollows series since they first came out in print. The Audible version didn’t let me down. Loved the narrator and I’m glad she’s narrating the next book I just downloaded. Thanks Audible.

A unique types of friends

love it
This series was one of my first introductions to urban fantasy and I love it. I love the modern timelines, I love that you can have magic without medieval harsh lines of historical accuracy. I love the idea that instead of going to the moon they focused on bio weapons and it created a totally new world. The main character I remember reading when I was in my early twenties and now that I'm in my mid-thirties I look back and still holds up and makes sense. It reminds me kind of the way I first watched Carrie Fisher as Leia Skywalker and thought oh wow, she's kind of annoying but really she was just a strong forceful personality. The only reason I didn't give the performance a five star is because I hear the characters very differently and some of the tones were odd like talking softly read at full volume: very nitpicky did a wonderful performance otherwise.

Fun Story Ok Narration
This series comes highly recommended, so I gave it a shot. The story was entertaining, and the characters were interesting. The narration wasn't bad, it just wasn't my favorite. The narrator sounded a little like she was reading most of the time, instead of bringing me into the story.
I'd still recommend giving it a try and I'm going to try book 2, just to see if I get into it a little more. There's so many people that rave about this series, so I'm going to try another book to see what the fuss is about.

great series
I ran across this series again and was glad as I listened to it on CD the first time years ago. If I were to say anything it's that this first book in the series started slow to me.
