Publisher's Summary

Monica believes Jonathan despite her better judgment. Forgives him despite her doubts.

She loves him...just because.

Her heart isn't sensible or guarded enough. Not by a sight. She’s a walking raw nerve ending of emotion, as if the celibate years she'd spent before him made her more emotional, more vulnerable, more foolish.

And she agreed to all of it yesterday and today.

She’d agree to it tomorrow and forever, but for one thing.

There might not be a tomorrow for her king.

one of the BEST series I've read

I am an avid audio books listener and have hundreds of books in my library. I rarely if ever leave a review but after this series, I must! I have never felt so connected with characters in any book as I have with these. Through this read (listen) I laughed, cried and felt like I was right in the moment. This series is not so extra with gory details of the sex scenes so it made it even better of a listen. And the narrator with GREAT!

Stunning conclusion!

Sing-Part 7 of 9: I’m not really a fan of what happened with Jonathan in this episode. It didn’t help that it lasted for the whole book. I prefer to see him strong and dominant, not pushed to background due to his condition. The rest of the story in this part was what carried the book for me. Finally the ex-wife gets what she deserves. Monica finally interacts with the evil father who pretends he isn’t evil. I’m interested in seeing what happens there. Will we see him show his true colors later? This ended in a way the author could have stopped at this book but I’m glad she didn’t because it would have been an underwhelmed ending. I have no idea where the story will go from here. Coda-Part 9 of 9: The final conclusion to Jonathan and Monica's love story. It was real and raw. It gave us a look at what struggles a married couple would go through after dealing with the aftermath of a heart transplant and a new career in the beginning of a marriage. There was no interference from the ex wife, the ex boyfriend or even the evil father. It was just them. This couple went through a lot in the short time they have been together. I would have liked more fluff for their last book but I still very much enjoyed it. I've loved the whole series. I like these two and for the most part, I liked how they handled everything that was thrown against them. I listened to the audiobooks for this series and the narrators were fantastic. This is one of the rare cases where I think the narrators enhanced the books. I highly recommend listening to them. DOMINANCE-Part 8 of 9This is technically part 8 but it is really just extra pov's for different parts of the timeline in this series. It's worth the read to learn a bit more information, mainly Jonathan's pov.

Deliciously enticing & one all time favorite serie

I'm a relatively new book worm... I've been reading religiously for a fewish years now. I've read a hellacious amount of contemporary & erotica books & series, including Fifty Shades, Crossfire, Neighborly Affection, Hansel, Sloth & many more. This series is one of my select favorites. I can't number them because I love them all for different reasons. Just know this one is in the tippy top of the list. If you're into suspense, new love, etc. this has it all! CD is an amazing writer with a wonderful wit that reflects in her characters. This is a must read & listen! The audio brings that extra something! Do it for yourself!

This is real literature. CD Reiss can f—-ing WRITE.

Stylized, urbane characterization. Lyrical, throbbing prose. Erotica for the well-educated reader. Now bring on a sharply cast and produced TV series worthy of this work! Thank you, CD Reiss!

Fizzled out

This is the third in the series, and it just bored me to tears. It was all I could do to get to the end of it. I think even the author got bored with writing it. After all the hours of this audio book, I think it had tapped itself out for the genre. I felt like I was wading through a miasma of mundane. Maybe being a registered nurse, the whole sick part and heart transplant, the following issues were a little out of place. Really, who wants a hero that goes through that? I have to live that daily with patients. The transition from heart transplant to getting on with life was instantly "two years later" in next chapter. Yet, the issues they are dealing with two years later are more like 4 to 6 months later at best and just absolutley bored me to tears. Seriously, a thirty something year old man with some intelligence needs to hire a nurse to make him shakes and make sure he takes his anti-rejection medication two years later? Which, I guess in all reality, transplant patients, and those who lost a lot of blood, tend to have some residual mental functioning issues, but who wants to know this about their hero?

Intense

I'm not one who understands that pain/pleasure thing. I just can't empathize with that, but the intensity of this story and its characters makes me understand it a little more. I have fallen in love with this family.
