Meh...too much plot armor

I am gonna be nice a give this four stars, but it's really only barely a 3.5 for me. Kinda had to shut off the logic center of my brain halfway through, MC worked the hell out of his plot armor on this one.

Not sure if I will continue...

The MC is rash and too childish. The pacing feels off especially with the dialog. I'm not sure if that is on the writer or the narrator. The narrator has a way of making the MC feel way too excitable for my taste. Also, the combination of naiveté and hypocrisy that the MC regularly displays is really annoying. The measurement system used makes no sense as well...

Not a bad story, maybe reading will provide a better experience than listening?

Just as good as book one! MC keeps evolving in interesting ways. Now to wait on #3

Predictable as hell.

Had a lot of the classic litrpg elements and wasnt to bad for 3/5s the current story. Neat powers, intresting(ish) poeple, questionible origins. Andrew tell did a good job narrating what was given and made the story have something of a life.

The other 2/5 was some fedora wearing, sword pose in the bio, way of the blade cringe. Pacing was rushed as hell, both books take place in less then two weeks, wich means that the power rush was absolute BS deus-ex and powerlevels are bullshit. All this could be overlooked, the psychic wolves, the very clear luck of the protag, the this is how the system works except when it doesn't, all that can be ignored... But GODDAMN IT, the author needs to go outside grab a tapemessure and learn what how far the things he's talking about are, the distances poorly done its mind boggling, who uses the imperial yard to messure the height of someone. When people as me my height i don't respond with "two yards two inches..."

second book still has everything fun the first book and more. highly recommend this to be added to your list.

Good, but nothing special.

It loses a whole star for using pack alpha for wolves. This term doesn't apply to wolves, even if people still believe it's a thing. Written well, but wasn't able keep my interest most of the time.

A marvellous book

The first book was excellent and this one is even better. A solo player is a rare treat in this genre, which I deeply enjoyed.

This book had plots, intrigue and mayhem which is entertaining and gives the main character a chance when he is overmatched, in a harsh world. I liked the deeper insight into the game, world and powers too we learn gradually but the book is never boring.

I liked that what motivates people varies from the direct to the subtle. That some people can be trustworthy keeps things from getting too grim, in my opinion.

I thought the pace of the book was just right, not too many stat pages.

The narrator did a great job and deserves thanks.

I look forward to the next book but worry moving to civilisation might take the main character out of his element and he will be required to party up and things could turn like in other litrpgs.

If you enjoyed book 1 you will love this.
