Publisher's summary

He's lethal with a sword. She's deadly with her bow. But will it be enough in the coming war?

Erroh must return to Spark City to warn of the approaching army. Growing ever stronger, the reluctant warrior and his fierce companion must elude bandits and soldiers in a mad dash against time.

Across the map his father, Magnus, rallies his troops to march for the first time in two decades as he seeks to avenge his son, presumed dead. But with unrest and injustice exploding within Spark City, and their foes marching towards its gates, they may already be too late.

Very enjoyable,

Very enjoyable, I couldn’t help loving the characters, and hating some of them. I felt like I was in the middle of each of the battles fantastic.

Very passionate

If you’ve read the first book then it would be a sin to not continue on with The March of Magnus.

I wanted to come back and edit since it may or may not matter for decisions made to invest. So a I still stand by how I feel. This story was fantastic and was written well. First book 4.6 star second book 4.8 star. That said even though I don’t regret reading these the third book. Eesh. Maybe 3.8 star. Still good writing style but definitely lost any good flow of story progress. It was like drinking a stale mt dew

Solid Entry

A solid entry to the post apocalyptic genre. It gets a little bogged down by repetitious language (goddess, legend) but I appreciate the tone in which the author reinforces respect of specific characters. The characters have flaws and show growth. 4/5.

Loved it

Def one of my favs! Its complex, tragic and full of hope. The dialog is one of my fav things about the book. Its hard to find a book where the chars have there own wants and goals. That impact and give the chars some individuality. Most are click and paste chars. Not this one! Id say if your looking for a life is great all glitter and sunshine this is not for you. If your looking for a book thats more true to life. where life is gritty and kicks you in the balls most of the time, give it a listen.

Another Powerful Story

The second book in Spark City Cycle doesn’t disappoint. Fantastic character building and story weaving. A series absolutely worth binge reading/listening.

Fast paced action and adventure with unexpected twists. A bit heavy on the romance but the activity and brutality of the battles work well to balance it out.

The performance was absolutely incredible. I am purchasing book 3 upon completion of this review.

Five Stars.
