Publisher's summary

Have you heard the rumor around campus about the locker room?

If you haven't, let me enlighten you: Legend has it, if you bring a girl into the sacred aftergame domain of the baseball locker room, it will end with a walk down the aisle. One rowdy and naked encounter against the lockers with the girl of your dreams will make her your wife.

Translation: Baseball players are stupidly superstitious and believe the locker room has magical powers.

But not all baseball players are superstitious, me included.

So, when the girl I've fallen for brushes me off, I start to question if I need to switch my way of thinking. Maybe it's time I finally hand out a coveted invitation to the locker room. The only question is, will she accept?

Love in the locker room

It’s a cute story of college love. That turns so sad, better get the Kleenex. It’s a sob fest. The girl group have a close friendship and stay close from California to Chicago. The guys were estreemly close. They lived together were teammates and took classes together. Then ended up on a Chicago team. I loved the book, it’s the hard to put down type and it pulls you in from page 1. I wasn’t crazy about the narrators voices but made it through. I don’t like narrator doing both sexes. I prefer male doing all male voices and female doing all girls.

An angsty friends to lovers second chance romance where he falls first

Knox Gentry is a true cinnamon roll hero in this love story. He falls for a girl after a meet cute while in college. As he moves towards his future in baseball he loses the girl who is still hurt by a past relationship. This novel has some big time jumps until the couple gets their second chance for a HEA! Great narrators and another wonderful book from Meghan Quinn

Sometimes HEA takes a back seat to life goals

I've been listening to the new audiobook for this book all week.

On one hand, I love the story. Friends to lovers. Slow burn. Sexy, single minded hero. Smart, sassy, guarded heroine.

Knox and Emery meet cute when Em's campus map (because she's a transfer) blows into Knox's face. And so starts their dance. Knox wants more than friendship but he agrees to her wishes. Mind you, she wants more too but she doesn't totally trust anyone with her heart. Knox and Emery become great friends and he gets under her skin. She lets him in. They date and lots of everything but penetration, they can't keep their hands off each other. Not as smooth a path as it may seem though.

Witty, sweet, hot, and with lots of feels. What happens when you want the best for your friend?

Oh, did I mention he's the hottest thing on the school baseball team? Expecting to get drafted to the big leagues? That the team locker room is a legendary location on campus? That if you get a 'golden ticket' to the locker room, you and the guy are destined to be together forever.

It isn't a slam dunk HEA. Which is what makes the story hook me. I like a bit of angst.

I enjoyed the performance by the female narrator but I will admit the male narrator's voice annoyed the heck out of me. His fake Texas accent. Drove me nuts. Also, I really wish they'd do more duet narration because I hate when the men do women's voices. The women don't bother me as much when they do men. But the story kept me in.

I received a review copy. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Great story an amazing sport romance

I love slow burn, I love sport romance, I love Meghan Quinn, so yes a perfect combo for me. This book was amazing. Knox is your next book boyfriend, one you need to meet and swoon over. Knox and Emory meet, in ways you will find funny, unconventional and perfect. It's a sweet story where Knox needs to take down the walls Emory has around her heart. It is a definitely must read for the year. Rock Engle and Felicity Monroe brought their characters to life in an outstanding narration. I laughed so much with the story, but their voices made it ten times better, I suggest you get the audiobook instead of the book, it's that good!

A home run!

I laughed so much while listening to Felicity Monroe and Rock Engle bring Emory and Knox's characters to life. Knox and Emory and truly different people but they are so much the same person as well. I mean both like to have fun, college and they like challenges.

Knox is the baseball king who has a fantastic future ahead of him. He's charismatic, funny, the life of everything and he his friends and family are very important to him. The one thing that has him in a class of his own is his sense of self. He knows who he is and what everyone wants but he's only looking for specifics and it looks like Emory and caught his eye.

Emory isn't wild but she does have friends who will only live once and they are out to have the time of their lives while in college. I must also add they are funny...did I mention they are funny???

The banter between Emory and Knox makes this story better. The road to their potential happily ever after has a lot of bumps and one being the potential nail in the coffin. I loved this story and the narrators bringing it to life. As the rest, Meghan has delivered another fantastic story!

Great storey, frustrating heroine

Knox is the best book boyfriend ever. Emory, the heroine, drags her feet and insists on moving so slow. It gets old but it's understandable with her past. However, she's always too scared and holds back, mashing her just a selfish brat after a while. Her anyone
actions towards the middle/end just made me angry. She's so busy protecting her heart that she doesn't allow herself to live fully... For YEARS. Thankfully the end is lovely but u ended up not liking the heroine. She complains but doesn't do anything to help her situation

I am totally hooked!

After reading The Dugout and falling completely in love with the story and the characters, I knew that I had to read this book as well. And I fell just as in love with this book as I did The Dugout!

Both main characters grew on me instantly. I was immediately drawn to them and they didn't let me down. Knox was a complete delight. He had me laughing and swooning repeatedly. I loved his personality and I think that Quinn did an excellent job of letting it come through the writing. I loved Emory just as much. She didn't give in to Knox right away and she was always unapologetically herself. She was coming off the heels of a bad breakup and took the time to take care of her heart even though she had interest in Knox from the start.

The chemistry between these two was out of this world. I loved that it was evident from their first interaction together.

The story was heartwrenching and heartwarming all at the same time. I loved the way that things played out in the end. The story really grips you and gives you all the feels.

Overall, this is a well-rounded story that really delivers. These are characters that will consume you and you will fall so in love with them. If you want a fun and flirty story that also has plenty of emotion then pick this book up. I can't wait for the next book from this author! I am totally hooked!

great story

I really liked the story portion of THE LOCKER ROOM. For some reason the male voice bothered me, but that is just me. Both actors did an incredible job narrating the story.
