Publisher's summary

USA Today best-selling book; number one Best Selling Sports Romance; Best Selling Romantic Comedy and New Adult Romance

What started out as a joke - seduce Coach Wilder - soon became a goal she had to score.

With Olympic tryouts on the horizon, the last thing 19-year-old Kinsley Bryant needs to add to her plate is Liam Wilder. He's a professional soccer player, America's favorite bad-boy, and has all the qualities of a skilled panty-dropper. A face that makes girls weep - check. Abs that can shred Parmesan cheese (the expensive kind) - check. Enough confidence to shift the earth's gravitational pull - double check. Not to mention Liam is strictly off limits. Forbidden. Her coaches have made that perfectly clear. (i.e. "Score with Coach Wilder anywhere other than the field and you'll be cut from the team faster than you can count his tattoos.")

But that just makes him all the more enticing... Besides, Kinsley's already counted the visible ones, and she is not one to leave a project unfinished. Kinsley tries to play the game her way as they navigate through forbidden territory, but Liam is determined to teach her a whole new definition for the term "team bonding".

Soccer Is Really That Important To You?

I just couldn't finish this book. I've read at least three other books by this author that I enjoyed but this story had too many strikes against it. The narrator'w voice was annoying and very difficult to listen to seriously. Then the characters were just too unbelievable saying that soccer is the most important thing and jeopardizing it at every chance. The behavior was just to juvenile and cavalier for someone who had a lot on the line. Maybe I'm just too old to appreciate the wrecklessness of young love but these two got on my nerves.

Don't waste a credit.

Would've been a goal if not for the narration.

This was a easy, lighthearted, funny book. I would've given it a higher rating if not for the narration, which I found a bit annoying. Not so annoying that I stopped listening, but enough that it detracts from the story.

Great Book, terrible audio book

Would you try another book from R.S. Grey and/or Jessica Almasy?

yes, the author's writing was great. Loved the book and characters.

The narration was terrible, I honestly couldn't get past the first 10 minutes. The narrator has a high pitch voice, not great for this type of book

How could the performance have been better?

different narrator

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Scoring Wilder?

none, thought the book was well written

Really fun audiobook

Would you consider the audio edition of Scoring Wilder to be better than the print version?

They're equally good. Jessica Almasy has terrific timing and tone. Some narrators can be a little flat, but the narration in this was really spot on. I liked her male voices too - they weren't overdone.

Which character – as performed by Jessica Almasy – was your favorite?

The main character - Kinsey. I would list this as a romantic comedy and Jessica Almasy performed it to perfection.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The content and how it was narrated had me rolling. I laughed so loudly I scared my hubby a few times.

Any additional comments?

I really love this author and the narrator did an amazing job. Well done overall!

Really good listen!

I really enjoyed this soccer themed tricky romance. A little fun, flirting, evil jealous mean girl and of course, hot soccer players! This a good listen, typical athlete issues of dating, trials and tribulations but what I enjoyed the most is that the main character didn't turn into a complete dummy or push-over when things got dicey. She kept a good head in the game!

Let down by narration and plot issues

I am a big fan of RS Grey and have loved most of her work ive listened to so far. So when I found this gem I was soo excited. But I had alot of issues with this one. And to be honest it was hard to finish.

For starters... the narration was not suited to this story. it was off putting it ruined the story for me. The main character is young in this book, and the narration made the main character even more juvenile, and immature. This is generally ok.... but when it came to the sexual content - it was definitely not ok. The author crafted some great swoon moments, but instead of swooning the narration made me cringe and feel really uncomfortable because the main character sounded childish. Also, where the author intended moments to be laugh out loud funny - the execution made them cringeworthy and flat (cue crickets).

Secondly- the plot was unbelievable in a bad way. The story centred around pro athletes. But in no way was this believable or written in a way that explored the dedication, lifestyle or character development of a professional athlete/ Olympian. I just couldn't take the main character seriously and it I couldn't buy into the whole situation. Overall, not the best

Where does Scoring Wilder rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It's a fun book, unfortunately, I thought narration was quite annoying for my liking .

Hilarious

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Yes. It wasn't the best story but I laughed so hard throughout and made it a fun listen.

What did you like best about this story?

How funny it was.

Have you listened to any of Jessica Almasy’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No. But I will in the future.

Could you see Scoring Wilder being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Yes, as a romantic comedy. The stars should be Liam Hemsworth (of course) and Hayden Panettiere.

Any additional comments?

The sexy scenes were a bit weird for me. Both of the main characters has more of a laid back, cool personality and great sense of humor. For some reason, the dominant side of Liam didn't seem to fit him. Or maybe it was just the voice over... Just didn't do it for me. And I thought there would be more drama or more to the story but it kind of fell flat in the end. It was an easy listen nonetheless and I enjoyed it.

An absolute surprise!!

Would you listen to Scoring Wilder again? Why?

Absolutely! I went in thinking I would be listening to the typical college romance with cheesy nineteen year old "love scenes" I was surprised to find that I LOVED every single minute!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Wilder of course!

Which scene was your favorite?

I didn't have a favorite scene..the entire story just flowed for me..i enjoyed every bit of it. The humor was just perfect! The pop culture references had me cracking up!!

And Jessica Almasy has just become my favorite female "teen" narrator. She's incredible. I could "feel" her words. her huffs, the psst, and her sarcasms.. She's amazing. Loved her.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Laughed so hard at times.
