About this listen

Only in the movies does the Hollywood heartthrob fall for the small town diner waitress.

So when Dashiel Buckley returns to Cherry Tree Harbor for a wedding, I’m determined not to let my massive crush on my best friend’s older brother hijack my good sense.

(It happened once before. Do not recommend.)

But when my hand is injured, it’s Dash who steps in at the diner. The moment he realizes I can’t afford to fix my car, he takes care of it. And when he hears about the way my toxic ex treated me, he refuses to let it go.

Now, it’s not just his blue eyes and sexy smile that have me swooning–it’s the way he wants to help me. Encourage me. Protect me.

I can’t resist.

Our text messages heat up. Our phone calls melt all my defenses. “Just friends” turns into “just once,” and “just once” becomes a distant memory. Night after night, he warms my bed, my body, and my heart.

But it can’t last.

Our dreams have us on two different paths–Dash wants the lights, camera, action of Hollywood, and I’ll always be a small town girl.

If only I could be his.

I love my visits to Cherry Tree Harbor and I was excited for Dashiel aka Dash Buckley and Ari DeLuca’s journey in Small Town Swoon (Cherry Tree Harbor #4). This Friends to lovers romance was everything I expected and so much more. If you love small town romances look no further than this gem of a read.

Rock Engle and Samantha Brentmoor did a wonderful job bringing the characters and their story to life. They were spot on with banter and the emotion and very easy to easy to listen to.

Ari has hidden her feelings for the friend that left Cherry Tree Harbor to follow his dreams in Hollywood. She felt he was out of her league but when he is home trying to find his inner self spending time together has feelings for both of them rushing to the surface. But what happens when Hollywood calls………
I knew when I first picked this book up that I was reading something special but it was only after the final word was read and the characters and their story was still with me did I realise just how special this book is.
I fell hard and fast for Dash, I adored Ari and I would love her as a friend but what made this so special was the way Ms Harlow makes you feel part of her stories. I highly recommend this entertaining read to everyone and if I could give it more than five stars I would.

Loved everything about this one

I am late to the party for the couple of Cherry Creek, but I absolutely loved Dash and Ari's story! This book is aptly name since I was swooning for Dash from the very beginning. Ari and Dash had a special connection. Ari has loved Dash all of her life and Dash was always attracted to Ari, but never did anything about it. When he comes home for his brother's wedding these two give into the attraction. Their chemistry is explosive and you know that the friends with benefits is never going to work for them.

I loved how Dash really opened himself up to Ari and the possibility of letting someone into his life. He grew so much within the story. He had me swooning until the very end.

Ms. Harlow does an amazing job with small town romance and always has the right amount of sass and fun in the story. I can't wait to go back and listen to the rest of the series!

The narrators did a great job. The guy's woman voice sometimes grated a little bit on me, but I still loved the story.

Loved Dash and Ari!

For some reason this series just is not hitting like other melanie Harlow books do. cute but kinda forgettable. Also not huge fan fan of the male narrator however he did grow on me a bit.

cute but

While I like Engle and Brentmoor, both seemed to sound older than the characters they portrayed.
It was a good listen for a hot summer day while I was either in the kitchen or sipping on iced tea.

The whole series has been a fun time. She always has strong rom come without resorting to impossible situations like some rom-com authors.

Definitely worth the credits!

Thought it was going to be terribly sappy but I enjoyed it

He calls her good girl! Enough said.

Best friends brother, second chance, friends with benefits. All the tropes I loved in one book and Samantha Brentmoor can do no wrong!

my favorite in the series so far!

I'll be honest, I almost skipped this one because of the male narrator but clearly he has improved since the last time I tried to listen to him. The story was great. Nothing really crazy or profound just a nice simple read with low angst.

Surprised

oh the story is definitely a page Turner in other words I could not stop listening. I feel a little sentimental with her having her Crush that she crushed on in high school finally in her sights. that made the story fun it was emotional with the turmoil that she went through. it was definitely swoony. and by the end I had happy tears in my eyes, so definitely worth the listen

very swoon Worthy

So, I’m not going to lie… Over the last 18 months, I have become a little obsessed with Melanie Harlow’s writing. If she writes it? I WILL READ IT. There is no need to look at the blurb, cover or reviews because I know it’ll be good! She is an insanely talented storyteller and with each book she writes she raises the bar and I fall in love with her writing, her characters and the stories she creates!

Small Town Swoon is book four in the Cherry Tree Harbor series and I love this series so much! This is Dash and Ari’s story and it’s E V E R Y T H I N G and more than I was expecting!

Dash is a star in Hollywood. He has currently finished his latest role and is struggling to find more serious roles. He has a wedding to attend back home and decides to return to his hometown to get away from all the stress he’s been under. He runs into Ari (his sister’s best friend).

Ari is returning home from culinary school and is trying to figure out her next steps for her future, she has plans to expand her family business which would put her culinary skills to good use.

Dash and Ari have a history. Growing up, Ari always had a crush on Dash but after being rejected when they were teenagers, she realised she had to move on and get over him. However, now that Dash has returned and they see each other they agree that they should put their differences aside and be friends. The more time they spend together, the more the undeniable attraction between them grows and what starts as a one-time fling turns into a friendship with benefits.

I loved how their friendship formed into something more. It wasn’t rushed and it felt natural. Dash was so good to Ari. He did and would do anything for her and that made me swoon so much! These two were perfect together, there’s no doubt about it. The trust they have in each other and the bond they share is incredible and was so lovely to read. I loved it so much and I couldn’t get enough.

This book was so heartwarming, very well written and it was so easy to lose myself within the story. I fell in love with this love story and I know I’ll be going back and revisiting these two in the near future!

I cannot recommend this book enough!!

5 STARS!

Love!!
