Satisfying

I have loved Cassandra Clare since her HP days - I finally picked up her Shadowhunter series and the world she created is beyond measure. It is so rich and fascinating and she has done a great job surprising and creating. Her stories do leave something to be desired - I think she is still trying to find herself as a writer and the incredible world she created helps us overlook some of the flow and material.

As for this particular book - a fantastic ending to the prequels. Very full circle and satisfying. I have finished the whole series except for the novelettes - which I will be listening to next... And I love that these characters cross time lines and other books. It's just... So satisfying. I loved seeing Jace in Will. I loved knowing that Tessa is Jace's great great great grandmother or something. It's just... Cool. Can't wait for more of the sequels. I can see Clare riding this Shadowhunter world out for a looooong time.

The conclusion of a story of a woman and her two loves.

This is an exceptional book. A mix between the supernatural and the romantic. With plenty of adventure, it keeps ahold of you from start to finish.

Absolutely fantastic!

Loved this series so much! I listened to The Last Hours before this and waiting for the next book in that series so this was a must listen. It did not disappoint!
The writing, the characters, the story, and the ending made this my favorite series of CC so far!

YOU HAVE TO HEAR THIS!!!!!!

I have 30 minutes left in this book and I am currently CRYING MY EYES OUT. I never would have thought that a Shadow Hunters novel would bring me to tears. The emotion in the readers voice and the story put together….. FREAKING AMAZINGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!! What an amazing ending to this beautiful series. I am not sure I’ve ever cried while listening to an Audible book but this did me in. The characters become like your family. It’s the people you can’t help but to love and want to succeed. Thank you to everyone involved in this wonderful series.

Exceeded Expectations

Would you listen to The Clockwork Princess again? Why?

Yes I would but I would listen to the full series again. It never disappointed me.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked that Tessa, through her journey of life was able to have a life with both of her loves, in their own time.

Have you listened to any of Daniel Sharman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No I have not. But I did enjoy his narration.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes, of course that would be when she transformed herself into the Angel

Any additional comments?

I did enjoy, very much, all 3 books in this series, however it was a little disorienting having different narrators for each book.

Wonderful close to the series

Any additional comments?

This book, like the other two, was great! The story kept you gripped until the very end. It is heartbreaking, fulfilling, emotional, and full of love. I really enjoyed it and didn't want it to end. Narration was good and the accents were done well, but I wished they had just stuck with the narrators from book 2.
