a great tale.

it's a fun story. without the adult theme it would be no different than a Thursday afternoon TV show. the voice actor did an amazing job. well done.

Not bad, but not really good either

Seemed as though this might be a fun break from some heavier and more serious stuff that I'd been reading. But, it turned out to be fairly tedious. Had I been reading rather than listening, I doubt I would have finished.

Proper hero's journey with well crafted mystery

I like a good succubus/incubus story, but so many fall into immature, weeb d&d storylines with some lit RPG thrown in.
This book is a well done heros journey with great character development, and layered unfolding mysteries.
The sex scenes are just a bonus, and fit the plot.
I typically avoid books with erotic scenes with a solo male narrator, but this one may be the best narrator for the genre ever. He was good enough for me to not mind as much.
Think an adult version of the TV show, Grimm, but IMHO better done. In Grimm the writers never explored or expanded the powers of the MC, causing the show to tease without payoff in the later seasons. This series completes the first arch in the first book.
For the first for free and happy to buy the 2nd. I typically criticize books more, but I'm just happy I found one in this genre for mature adults.

Mediocre to bad

I am giving 3 stars instead of 2 because the reader is good and because the writer might have been able to make it more appealing as the story went on. I stopped listening after 1.5/6 and change hours of book. I don't try to fool myself and believe these smutty romance and harem books are going to have amazing plot and character development. The sex scenes were pretty average which to me reads like a mix between cringe worthy, overly poetic, and just there to fill space. I feel that every plot point and interaction felt awkward and every power unearned. The characters that are monstrous all feel a bit dumb or campy. It also all feels a bit rushed like there is trying to be good writing and plot but that might take to long or make the book an unacceptable length. The books of this sort of genre that I consider fun and bearable are often exciting and action filled or are smart and funny. This was neither. Sorry writer for such a harsh review, I'm sure it is harder than I imagine to write well.

I really enjoyed the story

This was a great listen. As soon as this was over, I went and added book 2 to my library. Can't wait to start that one.

Ridiculous and ridiculously entertaining

To the author, I thank you and appreciate the free book and opportunity the check you out. I have to say I’m not disappointed, the story it’s self was entertaining and slightly comical and a bit ridiculous but I did enjoy it and plan to view more of your work.

This is a well executed hero getting herem

The sex is explicit and well written but a bit fast and wham bam thank you ma'am. I see the series getting repetitive very quickly but an author has to make a living.

It isn't boring. But it also isn't exciting, clever, or funny. It seemed a bit like a comic book. I'll stop at this one.
