The fact that the villains came across as actual threats.

I really enjoyed the storyline. I can't wait for book 2 to make it to audiobook.

Wow just wow

The first third of the book could have been a book by itself. Great plot all the way through with a reluctant MC who makes tough decisions.
Great action, nice romance, wicked villains.

Great First Boook

Loved listening to this story, reminds me of Defiance of the Fall, but with a bit more romance. The narrators did an amazing job. Looking forward to the next book.
