Publisher's summary

What would you do if you woke up young again?

Jason Richards is in his 40s, recently divorced, and hates his job, but all of that changes when he's attacked by a redheaded vampire and left for dead in a truckstop bathroom.

He soon wakes up in a mansion, surrounded by beautiful women and told he can never go home again. More importantly, he finds that his bones no longer ache, he feels amazing, and he looks like a 20-year-old kid again.

That's because he's a Ferin, a Forever Young, gifted with immortality and special abilities unlike anything he ever thought possible. With the guidance of his gorgeous female companions, Jason must learn how to survive in a world with real monsters, find and defeat the vampire who created him, and uncover the dark truth about what it means to be a Ferin.

Cheesy vampire sex stories

I don't often leave such negative reviews, but this is without a doubt the single worst book I've ever listened to on Audible.

The description sounded interesting with this guy becoming young again and gaining these awesome elemental abilities. The first chapter was interesting and I decided to continue on. The narrator had a pretty good voice for the main character and that's always a big deal for me. He also attempted some other voices at first. Chapter two comes around and he just does his same voice for everyone. Eventually some southern sounding girl comes into the story and it's just his normal voice with a southern accent. At first I thought it was still the main character and then he's talking about their boobs.
Now I can typically live with the one voice if it's decent, but as I continue on it became so difficult to notice when someone else was talking. The whole book he sounds like he's talking with himself.

This whole book was basically this dude hanging out with some girls and banging them all for no reason. Then he goes on to be like, "Oh wow my libido" like all the damn time. There is zero build-ups to the sex as well. It's them having a normal conversation and two seconds later he's sucking on some boobs. Then the guy can't stop talking about it. He brings up the first sex scene a solid 20+ times by chapter 4 and it's just shit writing.

If you like poor writing, endless plot holes, the same voice for everyone, and a book that just reiterates on everything then this is the book for you. If you are an actual educated person who wants a book worth reading I would very much avoid this garbage. Honestly, I'm convinced the author of this book is a horny 13-year-old just starting to go through puberty. If I could give this zero stars I would.

Poor writing

The Author is obsessed with lost youthful sex and does not show great skill at descriptive writing or storytelling. This books reads like a midlife crisis oversexualized fantasy novel.

Meh

I’m not into weak MCs or manipulative woman who prey on the MCs and he’s okay with being use cause “sex” it just ruined it for me and Leo Barnabas really called this one end! He’s as flat in his delivery as a 90 yr old lady of the night, boring was not In my vocabulary until I listen to this audiobook, I’ll pass on anything else from this author.

Read this review before you buy into this trilogy

I just finished the 3rd book in this trilogy. I am placing this review here because I think its only fair to let fellow listeners know ahead of time what they may be spending approximately 24hrs on. I bought the trilogy because I liked the idea of an older gent getting a 2nd chance at happiness with super powers as a bonus. The story had a fairly different feel from most SCI-FI harem-esk stories which was rather nice. Overall the trilogy was very good right up til the, I kid you not, last 12 minutes. It was not as bad as it could have been which is why i wont discourage anyone from pick up the trilogy, but in those last 12 the trilogy comes to an abrupt (all be it happy) ending. It could have used maybe 5-10 more chapters for a smooth dismount. c'est la vie.

Disappointed

I was so excited to listen to this book. But it was somewhat of a let down, it is a reverse coming of age book for a 48 year old man, who is now a 20 year old boy.

too young adulty

it has good promise but the sex scenes weight it down. the plot makes no sense even though im a fan of slow reveal it feels contrived to bring the mc from one scene to the next and they are long. im ok for sex scenes in a book but keep it short and simple im not going to fap to a dude talking about playing with a girl. gonna refund this.

Great book!

Daniel Pierce is a favorite of mine lately, and this book doesn't disappoint! It's unlike any vampire story I've read, and the fast-paced action and relationships between the characters had me captivated! Highly recommend!

Good concept ,BUT!

This could have been a enjoyable story line if not for all the superfluous sex. My god! is there anyone (femail) he doesn't sleep with? I was getting in to this book in the 1st 2 chapters until it became mostly soft porn with a bit of fighting vampires thrown in here and there. I am not even going to finish this story. Good luck guys.

if i was a guy I'd love this book. Soft core porn!

This is more a soft core porn extravaganza with some action on the side. Can't say a lot more then this.

Twilight x Buddy x Fifty Shades

Had a promising start, but then the blood flow to the writer's brain went south...
