Publisher's Summary

Emma is super pretty, super smart, and super rich. So WHY is she kidnapping the billionaire she just bought in the bachelor auction?

Thirteen years before Emma Dumas bought me in a bachelor auction to teach me a lesson, she stole my heart down on Key West. I fell so hard for this girl, I made all the promises. Only with Emma, I really meant them.

And then I disappeared.

But it wasn’t my fault. Let’s just call my reason “Family Business”. I’d tell you what that business is, but then I’d have to kill you. Just kidding. I can’t tell you what my family business is because it’s so secret, even I don’t know.

My point is...I didn’t ghost. It was a weird twist of circumstances. And OK, yes. I did hook up with pretty much every girl on the island that week. But after I met Emma, I was ruined. She’s the only one I wanted.

It’s been 13 years. I’m a changed man. I STILL want her. I have ALWAYS wanted her.

But it’s kind of hard to tell her that with a gag in my mouth and a hood over my head.

Jesse features a bachelor auction gone wrong, four smart ladies who botch a crazy revenge kidnapping, a fancy power dream date with fast cars, private jets, and expensive yachts, lots of ex-sex, and a happily ever after that proves...sometimes the best man for the job is a woman.

Includes a special bonus note from the author.

Jesse: Bossy Brothers, Book 1

You will never go wrong with a JA Huss book! And while you could listen to the Bossy Brothers as a stand-alone- I recommend listening/reading in order. I’ve already read them several times - they are that good.

Billionaires, second chances, and then BAM there’s a entire new level of twisted plot. I loved Emma and Jesse’s story. Who doesn’t want a chance to get back at someone who’s hurt us? Just goes to show that our plans for revenge might lead to something completely unexpected.

JA Huss always nails it with the perfect narrators for each story and Teddy Hamilton and Ava Erickson are spot on perfection as Jesse and Emma. Terrific performance from both, bringing both the characters and story to life.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS STORY

Oh Julie.. Julie.. Julie this was so damn good.. the loveable characters, the humor, the quick-witted banter, the well-paced plot build-up in its enemies-lovers, second-chance romance, the crazy fun one-upping.. and the OMG plot twist with its teasing part-revelation was all so unbelievably entertaining. And I loved the power dynamics between the successful, strong, spitfire of a super-rich heroine and the sweet and oh so sexy ex bad-boy billionaire hero.. and it was also a good introduction to the three handsome Bossy Boston Brothers. The chaotic crazy chemistry between Jesse and Emma sparked from every well-crafted chapter, the friends and family members enriched the storyline, the dual POV plot had sassy steam, passion and punch.. and the WTF unfolding mystery towards the end brought intrigue, angst and drama that’ll continue to build.

Worth a credit? It was ridiculous over-the-top fun, it was a unique and refreshing second chance, it was mayhem and madness but slowly evolved into so so much more.. and I absolutely loved every single minute of it. Teddy and Ava brought the characters and the heartwarming plot to life and they made it a 5 star creditworthy audiobook. The short EOBS (end of book sh't) Julie adds at the end of her books are always insightful and interesting too.

Fabulous

I don't think that JA Huss has ever written anything that I haven't love; she is an exceptional storyteller, and I absolutely adore her. The writing is spot-on, the characters are awesome. Emma and Jesse are amazing together, their connection passionate and sizzling, captivating the readers/listeners. The dialogue is brilliant, loaded with humor and quick-banter. True to Huss fashion, the plot is involved with great twits.

The dual narration by Ava Erickson and Teddy Hamilton is fabulous. They connect the audience with characters and the animation in the scenes, bringing the entirety of the book to life. This cleverly written story and very entertaining, and I highly recommend it.

Obviously, JA Huss does not disappoint, because well, does she ever?

Obviously, JA Huss does not disappoint, because well, does she ever?

Bossy Jesse is a fun love story that starts with vengeance and ends with the promise of an epic mystery. I am intrigued by all of the characters introduced in this book! It’s pretty impressive that some characters that had little to no lines, just description, can make you hope for the possibility of a future story!

I am so glad that this wasn’t a standalone book. There is really nothing that I love more than to sink my teeth into a new world and cast of characters created by JA Huss!

It’s probably pretty common for readers to be excited about book two in a series after reading the first, but honestly, I’m also already so anxious to read book three as well!

Super excited for what’s next!

Ooh and yes, I read the audiobook and per usual Ava Erickson and Teddy Hamilton kicked a**!!!!

missed you...

I've been on a different kick from my usual listening, and until I read this book, I hadn't realized how much I've missed Julie's books! There's just something about that girl's mind that grabs hold of me and won't let go! This book just hit the spot and now I'm on to the next one. If the third one isn't out soon, I'm just gonna have to do some listening from my library. Julie has a bunch of stuff I love listening to! Keep em coming, girl!!

Witty and Smart

Jesse and Emma had a long history, although he didn't remember it right away. She was out for revenge. Although she may still have feelings. But what started as a revenge date at a charity auction, turned into a battle of wills over a weekend. Each vying to 'win,' although neither knows what winning really is.
At the same time, secrets about the Boston family and the Bossy building start coming out, secrets about Jesse even he doesn't know.
As the first in the series, it can serve as a stand alone, but there is an underlying story line that surely will be revealed as the series goes on.
Teddy Hamilton and Ava Erickson delivered excellent narration, both the funny and the sexy.
Totally worth a credit.

Lost me

First half of the book was good where Emma and Jesse are reconnecting. However the part where the mystery starts to reveal itself is rushed and doesn’t make sense. Very weird description of the top floors of the building which don’t make sense. I really didn’t understand why Jesse would drug Emma to return her home, there was no explanation, it just seemed a random act to fill a chapter. I rally hope the storyline’s of the next two books are better than this one. Great performance by narrators, however duet is always preferable otherwise the male/female voices sound silly. Just read in your own natural voice, stop trying to sound like a man or a woman when your not it ends up sounding silly.
