Publisher's Summary

Experience the blessings of an imperfect marriage. We all - at one time or another - have opportunities to act right when our spouses act wrong. There are no perfect marriages or perfect spouses. We know that having a good marriage requires effort and hard work. Yet we often don't know how to continue to love when we are angry, hurt, scared, or just plain irritated. Nor are we sure what that kind of love is supposed to look like.

Should we be patient? Forgive and forget? Do something else entirely?

Acting right when your spouse acts wrong will not necessarily guarantee a more satisfying marital relationship, nor will it automatically make your spouse change his or her ways - although both could occur. It will, however, help you see how God is stretching you in the midst of your marital difficulties, teach you to respond wisely when wronged, and lead you into a deeper relationship with Christ as you yield your will to his plan for your life and learn to be more like him.

Amazing and life changing

I known I'll be a better wife, mother, and person because of what I've read. Usually I read other self help and development books, thinking career, business and temporal success' was what I was missing in life for the success and well being of my family. I know better now. I feel a sense of freedom and empowerment I haven't felt in a long time. This is truly the best book, not only about marriage, but about life, that I have ever read. Thank Leslie for this amazing gift!

If your married get this book now.

I have been through a lot in my marriage but never sought counseling. I feel that this book has given me the counseling I didn't even know I needed. I have even found out that some of my actions I thought were humble were actually self-centered. I purchased the book and will be listening to this over and over. Thank you Mrs. Vernick for this book it has saved my marriage and is helping me become the wife God wants me to be for my husband. Please get this if your married or thinking about getting married.

Very profound!

The real life examples help you to feel less alone in your struggle while bringing home the Joy that you can feel when you choose to behave correctly even if your spouse/others are not. Keep our eyes on the Kingdom and love everyday!!

Great for ALL who read.

It’s not about what your spouse is doing wrong..... It’s about how you act and react through it all. Biblical teaching is spot on. Great examples given.

awful

every other sentence was about loving God and quoting a bible verse and I didn't think it explained the "how to " part. I couldn't make it through my frustration to listen to very much of this book to glean any substantial information.
